Three trips to the MSHSL Class A State Golf Tournament. Years of representing Cass Lake-Bena with pride. Countless rounds, practice and moments that will always be part of this program’s story.

Aaliyah’s final round at Pebble Creek was more than just the end of a tournament — it was the closing chapter of an incredible high school golf journey. The afternoon session tested everyone, but Aaliyah kept showing the same heart, toughness, and quiet leadership that has defined her career.

From our golf program, we want to say thank you, Aaliyah. Thank you for the memories. Thank you for the leadership. Thank you for proving that hard work, commitment, and heart can take you a long way.

This may have been her last round in a Panther golf uniform, but her impact on this program will last far beyond today.

As Aaliyah gets ready for her next chapter, we are excited to watch her continue to grow, lead, and chase big goals as she heads to the University of Minnesota next fall. Golf has been part of her journey, but it is only one piece of the bright future ahead of her.

Congratulations, Aaliyah.
Once a Panther, always a Panther.

Jaxon Brown wrapped up his first trip to the MSHSL Class A State Golf Tournament with a finish that made a statement.

The Cass Lake-Bena 7th grader closed his final day at Pebble Creek Golf Club with a 76, finishing tied for 24th in the state with a two-day total of 156.

The highlight came on the final nine, where Jaxon fired a 1-under-par 35 with three birdies. He played with confidence, stayed aggressive, and showed the kind of composure that lets everyone know he belongs on the state stage.

For a 7th grader, this tournament was more than just a strong finish. It was a learning experience, a confidence builder, and a glimpse of what’s coming next.

Jaxon represented Cass Lake-Bena with pride, toughness, and class — and that final nine sent a clear message to next year’s field:

He’ll be back.

The future is bright. The work continues.

As a program we will miss you both but we know you’re both off to do great things.

We are so proud that you. Both of you are a big part of our program, thankful for the strong family support you receive at home and when you add it up your both are winning at life.

The program foundation is about building life skills that will help us as we take our journeys. The golf program preachers student first - athlete second and both of these young people are examples of what we want for our student athletes.🦅

STATE BOUND.

What a senior performance by Aaliyah LaRose on the final day of the MSHSL Section 7A Girls Golf Tournament at Minnesota National Golf Course.

Aaliyah finished 2nd overall with a 187, showing toughness, composure, and the heart of a competitor when it mattered most. In her senior year, she stepped up on the biggest stage and punched her ticket to the State Golf Tournament June 9–10.

This is what hard work, belief, and Panther pride look like.

Aaliyah has represented Cass Lake-Bena with strength, class, and leadership — and now she gets one more ride at State.

Congratulations Aaliyah — Panther Nation is proud of you.

Four Panthers made it to the final day of the MSHSL Section 7A Tournament at Minnesota National Golf Course — and every one of them left something on that course.

For Freaman Rock, this was more than just another tournament. It was his senior year, his last ride, and one final chance to represent Panther Golf on the section stage. Making it to Day 2 was a big achievement and a reflection of the work, commitment, and pride he poured into this program. He helped set the standard for the younger players coming behind him.

For Clinton Fairbanks and Trenten Michaud, the final day was about growth, toughness, and learning how to battle when the pressure gets real. Section golf tests more than your swing — it tests your mind, your patience, and your ability to stay in the fight. Both of them showed they are right there. With another year of work, confidence, and mental toughness, they are close to punching their own tickets to the state tournament.

And leading the way was Jaxon Brown, who finished T3 with a 163 and earned his spot at the Minnesota State Tournament June 9–10.

This was a proud day for Panther Golf — a senior finishing his journey with pride, younger players proving they belong, and one Panther headed to State.

The future is bright. The standard is rising. Panther Golf is just getting started.
