I'm foremost, I'm a loving wife and mother to 2 kids (Ellie 7 and Jacob 3). In all other aspects, I'm a teacher! I teach a variety of biology classes at a local university including my current favorite - Human Nutrition. I'm also a group fitness instructor, Sunday School teacher, and health and fitness coach! Teaching is in my blood - I love to be inspired by those around me and inspire others to
do the same. I never considered myself very athletic or coordinated. I became a runner almost by default convincing myself that I wasn't coordinated to do anything else. And I still love running (1/2 marathons are a perfect distance in my book!), but I rarely have the time to hit the pavement like I used to pre-kids. About 8 years ago I was introduced to group fitness by a dear friend, and I've never looked back! There is simply something magical that happens when you surround yourself with people (in person or through the avenue of social media) that are like-minded; we all end up better people as we motivate, encourage and inspire each other! Since that day, I've gotten stronger physically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially. I've figured some things out along the way about eating clean and how the proper foods fuel wellness. And I want to pay-it-forward!
