want to express my deepest gratitude to each and every district director for their invaluable contributions to this Program . It is truly remarkable to witness our State unite as a whole to support the HOOP SHOOT program and actively engage all individuals involved. Your unwavering dedication and hard work are truly commendable. Thank you once again for all that you do.

Before he wrote his name in sports history, he unleashed his grit in the Elks Hoop Shoot.

Chris Mullin, sponsored by Brooklyn, N.Y., Lodge No. 22, made 23 of 25 free throws at the 1974 Elks Hoop Shoot National Finals and won a national championship—but that was just the beginning of his basketball journey.

Mullin went on to play 16 seasons in the NBA, where he was a five-time all-star and four-time All-NBA selection. He also won two Olympic gold medals, including one with the 1992 “Dream Team.”

Since he retired from professional basketball, Mullin has been elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame (twice), College Basketball Hall of Fame, and of course, the Elks Hoop Shoot Hall of Fame.

A BIG THANK YOU To Gillette ELKS LODGE 2825 !! They have a gathering for their local HOOP SHOOT contestants!! some of them had other commitments so they could not make it. Congratulations to everyone. Best swishes.AND WE WILL COUNT ON SEEING YOU NEXT YEAR. !!
