Cost to rent Cotton Auditorium for TWO performances Dec 2025: $2700+
Cost to hire Tech Team for 2 performances (Light, Sound, Stage Management): $3000+
These two major expenses (close to $6k) do not include the cost of costumes, props, renting rehearsal space, marketing, merch, ticketing, concessions, program costs, or any of the other odds and ends that add up for any given production. These costs were my first-hand experience of expenses from producing, directing, choreographing, and dancing in my First Annual Fosse Dance Show: Unity in December 2025 at Cotton Auditorium in Fort Bragg.
Last year’s Fosse Dance Show cost $9,000+ That expense did not include ANY compensation to Director, Producer, Choreographer, or any Performers, regardless of the hundreds of hours of work and dedication in the studio(s), planning, organizing, orchestrating, and anticipating all that goes into production. We almost broke even. Which felt like a success along with the wonderful audience feedback, smiling and proud performers of all ages - some of which had their first stage performance in that show. But now we need our community to help support our vision, and keep us moving forward.
Please help us, however you can to reach our goals to bring our show back to Cotton Auditorium this winter. We are hosting a high Tea Party fundraiser for Noyo Dance Co, with very limited seating - Sunday September 27th on private property in Cleone. See details on website. If you want to contribute and cannot attend our fundraiser Tea Party event, please know that your donations are incredibly valuable to the work and community experiences we are trying our hardest to achieve. No amount too small or too generous.
I greatly enjoy the work I do, and have volunteered my time, my work, my efforts, my classes, my ideas, my choreography, my network and my organization for free and at extreme discounts to dozens+ of performing artists and organizations over the years across Nor Cal. I’m hoping that good karma will come back to us now as we would love to keep doing what we love to do best, and are driven to continue to show up for others in our community.
