🏁 HILLBILLY 50 RACE RECAP — WVMS! 🏁
What a night at the West Virginia Motor Speedway! The Burlile Performance Products Ohio Valley Late Model Dirt Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels rolled into the Hillbilly Hundred weekend with 48 of the best Late Models ready to battle for 50 laps and $5,000!
When the dust finally settled, Kyle Hardy stood tall in Victory Lane! 🏆 Hardy charged from the 5th starting spot, battled at the front throughout the race and survived an absolute WAR with Tyler Carpenter in the closing laps to capture the Hillbilly 50! There were multiple lead changes during the early stages of the race. Chad Roush would lead early, with Hardy and Matt Melvin putting the pressure on. Roush's night would end when a broken fan belt caused him to go pit side. Matt Melvin and Kyle Hardy would put on a great show swapping the lead several times. Melvins night would end early, just as he took the lead, with a broken axle. That would set up the Hardy - Carpenter show down for the final laps of the race.

Hardy and Carpenter put on one heck of a show late, trading the lead and making contact before Hardy took control and drove away to the $5,000 payday! Corey Conley was also on the charge, coming from 12th to 3rd, while Carpenter edged Conley at the stripe by just 0.018 seconds for second!
