Wanted to give a shoutout and a sincere Thank You to Teamrhino and RS Nets. Last Friday someone stole my RS net out of my boat so Saturday in a panic I ordered a new one from Teamrhino. I didn’t realize they are specifically made to order and would be 2-4 weeks for delivery. I called Jeff at Teamrhino and Brian at RS nets and in 3 days had my new one. Had to settle for a different color but am super grateful they hooked me up in just a few days. Another great reason to always support our American companies and whenever possible American made products! Nobody in China would have went above and beyond to get me back on the water asap! Thanks again Jeff and Brian.

**FAT BOTTOM GIRL ALERT**
Had the pleasure of having Tony on the ole Crestliner today. To say he laid the Smack Down on some Ohio Ski’s is an understatement!! 3 fish Ohio Ski’s and some up and comers topped off with a ridiculously fat 49 1/2” !! Never caught a Musky until today. I’d say he’s hooked. 😂 Great fishing with you buddy. It was a fun trip.

Also, thanks for cutting the O ring off of the 3/0 hook that I buried in my finger so I could yank it out with the pliers!!🤬

Epic Trip!!

I had the pleasure of having Drew out for a Musky trip yesterday. This was his second trip of the spring with me. The first trip he broke all of his personal best musky records and this second trip he broke them all again! lol. Put 14 in the net!! Out of respect for this fine young man I’m not gonna say how many he lost! 😂. He is a graduating senior this year who has been addicted to Musky from an early age. As always nice sharing the boat with you young fella.

It was an honor to spend the day on the lake with the recipient of the 1st Musky Oracle free kids fishing trip. Alexzander Wilkin and his grandfather Robin absolutely slayed the crappie today. We boated 200+ fish and released all but a few for the Crisco disco 🔥. Alex did an amazing job listening to my instruction and by the end of the trip could cast an open faced reel by himself and catch crappie on a jig. Grandpa was really cool too. Old school crappie slayer from the old days! Unfortunately he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in November so it was also my privilege to share my boat with him today. Thanks to all the support of the local businesses that donated to Alex. We sent him home with some Musky Oracle gear, a new fishing pole and a tackle box full of fishing supplies.

Little pro tip for any of my followers that are new to Musky fishing. When you have a day that’s on and off rain blowing through keep fishing! Musky love it. I only had 4 hours to fish today. First 2 hours were uneventful with just a few lazy follows. I could hear thunder coming in the distance. Then I caught 7 fish in an hour and a half. Rain quit and so did the bite. Check out my bibs from one picture to the next and it’s clear to see the progression of the rain. 😂

Didn’t have very high expectations on chasing muskies today considering I’ve played hooky the last few weeks chasing walleye on Lake Erie but the post spawn girls were right where they were supposed to be. Caught 7 and lost 4 with a few dandies! Fish were belly on the bottom most of the day but when the sun popped out the Mag Intercessor by Fisherman of Men Musky Blades accounted for two nice ones.
Also caught one on a spinner bait Tyler from Six2Noon Lures gave me a couple weeks ago. I love supporting our local small businesses. Both baits are handmade right here in our great state of Ohio! Check them out.

I have some phenomenal dates in June available. Last year on these dates I averaged 10+ fish a trip with a 19 fish night being the best. These dates will be night trips that usually run from 9pm-7am. If you’re looking for a Musky trip that’s completely different from the normal grind without the summertime heat give me a call.
