End of season update!

The cost of running soccer this spring was about $138 per athlete. On average we collected $123 in registration fees, which did not cover all of our expenses. Thank you to all those who donated this year!

Next season we will need to raise fees slightly across all age groups.
We are also going to cut costs:
- Eliminate U8 refs (up to the 4 schools though)
- Purchase 1 jersey and use pinnies for BC vs BC games
- BCYA is looking at cutting costs for trash and toilets
- bare minimum field maintenance again
- possibly skip coach shirts

Please remember this weekend that these are youth playing recreational sports. And that most of the refs are also minors. Please refrain from making any comments to the refs, players, or coaches unless it's cheering. Good luck teams!

U6 parents - you may pick up your pictures tonight!
U8, U10, U12 - Coaches may pick up ALL pictures tonight to hand out this weekend at the tournment.

I have a practice for my U10 team so I'll be nearby but can't handle 200 parents picking up at the same time

We’ve put together a concession stand volunteer sign‑up for the League Tournament at Roller Field on 5/16. It will be a fairly "simple" list of items under a tent so it can be in close proximity to the soccer fields. I am planning on being there all day, but If you’re willing to help for even one shift, it will be much appreciated. Thank you in advance for supporting BCYA

U10 Tournament schedule - the #1 and #2 teams won't be determined until Wednesday's game is complete

We're working on tournament schedules and will post them as they're ready. Here's U8 - if you play in a semi final game and win you go on to the championship.

Friday May 14th U8 Boys has 2 play-in games as well. BC Cattran plays 6:15pm on 8D against CW Marzola

Tournament Schedule!

Date = Saturday, May 16th*
Location = Roller Field
How Many Games = 1-2 per team**

We're trying something new this year - only the top 4 times compete for 1st place - so 1 to 2 games total. The 5th+ seeds will play a similarly ranked team so it's not a david vs goliath situation with one team feeling demoralized.

* In case of rainout our backup date is Sunday May 17th
** U8 boys top 6 will play the tournament so 2 games will need to be played Friday night.

On Monday we welcome 2 members of OSU's Turfgrass Science program to take a look at our soccer fields and give us some pointers how to better keep them in playable condition!
