Brooklyn Osborn’s Big Day Propels Caro Varsity Tigers Past Bendle Varsity Tigers

Brooklyn Osborn drove in four runs on two hits to lead Caro Varsity Tigers past Bendle Varsity Tigers 22-2 on Friday. Osborn hit an inside the park grand slam in the second inning, scoring four runs, and walked in the second inning, scoring one.
Caro Varsity Tigers won thanks in part to 17 runs in the second inning. Sophia Waltz singled, scoring two runs, Kynzi Porter singled, scoring one run, Braylon Gutierrez drew a walk, scoring one run, Kaitlyn Osborn singled, scoring two runs, Osborn drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored one run, an error scored two runs, Porter was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Gutierrez drew a walk, scoring one run, Osborn drew a walk, scoring one run, and Osborn hit an inside the park grand slam.
Bendle Varsity Tigers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Kaelynn Po***ck grounded out, and Bendle Varsity Tigers scored on a passed ball, each scoring one run.
Caro Varsity Tigers flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring five runs on one hit to take the lead, 5-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Osborn that drove in one.
Osborn stepped in the circle first for Caro Varsity Tigers. The pitcher surrendered one hit and two runs (zero earned) over three innings, striking out eight and walking none. Saphira Secord opened the game for Bendle Varsity Tigers. The right-handed pitcher gave up five hits and 12 runs over one and one-third innings, striking out two and walking 11.
Osborn and Osborn were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Caro Varsity Tigers. Gutierrez led Caro Varsity Tigers with four walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up 17 walks for the game. Osborn, Gutierrez, Porter, Kayleigh Harrison, Osborn, and Waltz each stole multiple bases for Caro Varsity Tigers. Caro Varsity Tigers stole 17 bases in the game.
Po***ck led Bendle Varsity Tigers with one run batted in. Kendra Waller went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Bendle Varsity Tigers in hits.
