It’s Taylor here! 💜
When Wendy first came to me with the idea for Chasin’ Cans & Dreams, she had a vision of creating something fun, welcoming and special for our barrel racing community. I was lucky enough to be able to jump in beside her and help turn that idea into something real.
Over the last few shows, we’ve figured out what works, worked through the growing pains, learned a LOT 😂 and watched Wendy’s dream turn into something that I think we can all be really proud of.
And now that things are running pretty smoothly, it feels like the perfect time for me to hand the torch over to Lindsay. 💜
What started as Wendy’s dream now gets to be something she can continue building alongside her daughter and family, and I think that’s pretty darn special.
I’ll still be around, supporting, cheering them on and probably helping when they need me I’m just retiring from being the one behind the screen answering 700 messages and dealing with the last-minute entry chaos. While trying to keep 3 horses in shape and racing 2😂
I’m incredibly grateful that Wendy trusted me to help bring her vision to life in the first place. Seeing the entries come in, the arena full of horses, everyone visiting, laughing, competing and enjoying themselves has made all of the work behind the scenes worth it.
And a huge thank you to everyone who has supported these shows from day one. Every entry, sponsor, volunteer and person who has pitched in has helped make Wendy’s vision possible.
Now I get to step back and watch Wendy, Lindsay and their family take it from here. 💜
I’m really excited to see where Chasin’ Cans & Dreams goes next and I’m pretty happy knowing I got to play a little part in helping a friend’s dream come true. 🥹🐴
She's also going to kill me for this photo but I don't care💁🏼♀️Hopefully I'll still see y'all this weekend after she sees it🤣
