It is amazing what happens in an ecosystem and the impact that every living thing has on every other living thing. Just watched a documentary on PBS on Wild: Making Wildlife Corriders including these wolves and around the world. Let's coexist!!! SalMan

Look what came to my house last night, the largest moth on the Pacific Coast, the Polyphemus. We called our friend Tony, an entomology photographer and a key staff member of KIW3 who came and took these photos. Pretty cool. The moth stayed till today and then when we were wondering what to do, it flew away looking for a mate. It has no teeth and lives only about 30 days. An amazing life. My interspecies experience of the year.

Great Day on the Van Duzen. Summer Workshop with Kids in the Woods Young Scientists and Pat, Fisheries Biologist and Tony, Entomology Photographer. Kids were spectacular studying river qualities like temperature, ph, macros, flow, depth, dragonflies, etc. Highlight on Day 2 was taking underwater photos. Great Day had by all!
