Another incredible Take It Outside Adult Series adventure! This time we traveled to Saint Andrew’s, New Brunswick. Upon arrival we made our way across the ocean floor, of course at low tide, to Minister Island. Home of William Van Horne, who notably completed the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railroad in half the projected time and half the cost. Before the tide returned, we had to make quick feet and get off the island while we still could. Later that day we explored downtown Saint Andrew’s before eating dinner together that evening. On Friday we had a guided tour of the Kingsbrae Gardens in downtown Saint Andrew’s before returning to Caribou later that afternoon. FMI or to participate in of our Take It Outside Adult Series programs, please call 207-493-4224 for more information.

Well, we have you covered, join us for a two night three day outing to Abol Campground in Baxter State Park. The Abol Trail is the shortest trail to the summit, though it is shorter, it is every bit as difficult as all the other trails on Katahdin. To put it simply, there is no easy trail on Katahdin, fmi or to register, please follow this link: https://tinyurl.com/ye8ny388

If you haven’t joined us on one of our Take Outside Series Programs, well, you’re missing out on some really fun experiences with even “funner” people.
This week our Take It Outside Adult Series visited, Lubec, Maine and Campobello Island, NB.
Along the way we had a chance to tour the Lubec Historical Society, downtown Lubec, McCurdy’s Smoke House, West Quoddy Head Lighthouse , Dockside Restaurant, and Roosevelt Campobello International Park.
These outings aren’t only fun, they’re educational and the camaraderie of each other’s company along the way is the icing on the cake, even if you’re getting chased by a porcupine 😜
