Nov 7 | 2-7pm | 215 S Illinois Ave, Carbondale
Free. All are welcome.

Boxing sparring from IL, IN, KY, St. Louis region, live music, food + b**r all day.

This isn’t a pro show. No winners. Just work and respect. After the sparring, the ring becomes the stage.

Doing this to honor our veterans and bring the community together.

The Syndicate Smoker is seeking veteran-focused nonprofits, service organizations, advocacy groups, and community resource providers to participate in our Veterans Weekend Community Gathering on Saturday, November 7, 2026, in Carbondale, Illinois.

This free community event will bring together boxing clubs from across the Midwest for an afternoon of boxing sparring, along with food, live music, and a celebration of Veterans, Service, and community.

We are inviting Veteran organizations to host resource and information tables where attendees can learn about available programs, services, support networks, volunteer opportunities, and veteran benefits.

-Ages 6–12
-Tuesdays & Thursdays from 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM
-$40/month (handwraps + mouthguard included for new students)
-No contracts, no politics, no experience needed
-Backed by USA Boxing certification and 60+ years of coaching pedigree

A Veterans Weekend Community Gathering

On Saturday, November 7, the ring comes outside.

Boxing clubs from Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and the St. Louis region will gather in Carbondale for an afternoon of boxing sparring, community, and camaraderie.

From 2 PM to 7 PM, athletes will share the ring in a non-sanctioned exhibition smoker focused on learning, respect, and skill development. No winners. No losers. Just fighters helping fighters get better.

As the sun begins to set, the gloves come off and the celebration begins.

Food. Cold b**r. Live music. Veteran recognition. Community.

The final bell rings. The ring becomes the stage.
