🐾 BIG DAWG THROWING CLUB — TRAINING AVAILABILITY 🐾

Looking to improve your shot put or discus this offseason? I’m currently available for private training sessions with Big Dawg Throwing Club.

📅 Tuesday–Friday
⏰ 3:30–5:30 PM
💰 $40 per hour
📍 Carbondale, IL

Weekend sessions may also be available depending on the week.

Whether you’re a beginner learning the fundamentals or an experienced thrower looking to improve technique, strength, footwork, and consistency, we can build a plan around where you are and where you want to go.

Wesley Parvin bounced back in a big way today.

The Belleville meet was a little rough, but that’s part of the journey. Today he showed up focused, confident, and ready to compete. He finished 2nd in his flight while going up against some of the best throwers in the nation at the AAU Junior Olympics.

I’m proud of the way he responded to adversity. That’s what growth looks like—not letting one bad meet define you, but coming back stronger. This experience will only make him better.

AAU Junior Olympics is off to a great start for Big Dawg Throwing Club here in Des Moines! 💪🏾🐶

This morning, Zayden Hamilton competed in the 13-year-old boys discus and finished 36th out of 61 athletes. While he didn’t hit a personal best today, he gained valuable experience competing on the national stage—something he can build on for years to come. Proud of the way he represented our club.

Next up was Ariana Toby, who competed in the 14-year-old girls shot put. She had an outstanding performance, throwing a personal best of 41 feet to finish 7th in the nation, earning AAU All-American honors! 🇺🇸🔥 What an incredible accomplishment!

Congratulations to both athletes on representing Big Dawg Throwing Club with pride.

Three Big Dawg Throwing Club athletes have earned the opportunity to represent Southern Illinois at the 2026 USATF Junior Olympics in California, but we need our community’s help getting them there.

We’re asking everyone to Sponsor a Mile!

💙 $1 = 1 Mile
💙 $10 = 10 Miles
💙 $25 = 25 Miles
💙 $50 = 50 Miles
💙 $100 = 100 Miles

Every dollar helps cover airfare, hotel, rental vehicle, and other travel expenses so these athletes can compete on the national stage.

📍 Our Goal: Sponsor 3,700 miles (our round-trip journey to California!)
