β‘πββοΈ YOU DON'T ALWAYS HAVE TO SPRINT TO GET FASTER. πββοΈβ‘
This young athlete completed her first solo training session with Anchor Up Athletics yesterday...
And guess what?
She never ran a single sprint. π
Why?
Because speed is built long before an athlete ever takes off running.
At Anchor Up Athletics, we focus on the five components that create speed:
πͺ Strength
βοΈ Balance
π Technique
β‘ Force
π Explosiveness
Every exercise in yesterday's session was designed to improve one or more of those areas.
We challenged her ability to control her body.
We challenged her ability to produce force.
We challenged her balance, coordination, and movement patterns.
Because when those pieces improve...
β‘οΈ Sprinting gets faster.
β‘οΈ Change of direction gets quicker.
β‘οΈ Confidence grows.
Speed isn't something athletes are born with.
Speed is something that can be developed.
Great first solo session. Great attitude. Great effort.
The future is bright. βπ₯
