Did you hear the news? Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day is coming up! Bring your kids out to ride their bikes on the trails at Blankets Creek…flow trails are not required 😜.

🗓️Saturday, October 3 at Blankets Creek, 9:30-10:30a

- come out and ride the trails.
- bring rakes, gloves, trimmers and let’s clean up the ‘family area’ near the parking lot.
- meet with SORBA Woodstock board member and share ideas for what you’d like to see for families at the park in the future!

Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day @ Blankets Creek, Saturday October 3, 9:30a - 10:30a

1. Come out and ride! Share the trails with other families!
2. Share a vision or suggestion you might have with a SORBA Woodstock representative at 9:30a for the ‘skills’ area behind the field that we’re wanting to build up for young riders (ages 4-14) and families.
3. Let’s teach trail responsibility to our kids and have a clean up day just in the skills/family riding area. BRING RAKES, trimmers, gloves….what you might need for light yard work. No major build, rather just removing debris and cutting back some growth!

One of the greatest gifts we can give our kids is an example worth following.

Not a perfect example. Not an always motivated example. Just a parent who keeps getting back outside, keeps trying new things, and keeps making adventure part of life.

As summer winds down, we’re preparing our event calendar for the fall. We’re hoping to bring families together for a trail cleanup day and potentially two more Trail Scouts MTB adventure days - be sure to sign up for our free newsletter, The Scout’s Report, through the link in our bio for updates on upcoming events.

The simmer heat had us hit the pause button on events, but we’ve been busy behind the scenes, continually planning a platform that welcomes families from all over our community into the world of mountain biking.

“That’s pretty easy” - my 4yr old after what I thought was an impressive climb 🤷🏻‍♂️…he wasn’t impressed but fun was still had!

Mountain biking has us sharing hard things and accomplishments together. Just another reason we love mountain biking as a family.

🎤 Bulldozer & Build….we asked friends of SORBA Woodstock during Pedalpalooza a fun question - They are given the keys to the excavator for the day and they have to bulldoze one thing at the park and they have to build something new!

What would you say if you were given the keys? 🔑

We had A BLAST at Pedalpalooza and THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported Trail Scouts MTB during its first event.
