The Bryce Canyon Half Marathon & 5K held their 24th annual run, which included celebration of America’s 250th birthday, on July 11, 2026, with designated flag runners representing the Utah Army National Guard.
Seven hundred runners from across the continental United States, and even one from Germany, were welcomed. Anticipating the Semiquincentennial, committee members spent months planning and incorporating the America 250 theme into their theme, design, swag items, and race logistics.
“The half marathon is one of the most anticipated events of the year for our community, bringing together dedicated volunteers, first-time runners, and enthusiastic spectators. For a ‘small town,’ it’s a big event! This year’s theme was a meaningful reminder of how blessed we are to enjoy the freedoms of this great country and the beautiful little valley we proudly call home," said Kami Brinkerhoff, marathon committee member.
