First day of spring was spent working with the young horses and taking a trail ride with a young rider. Great day! First solo ride for Trine and first ride with a bit for Seven. Love these good minded babies who try to figure out what you are asking without worry.

Dragon Fly was such a star today! First ride of the season in the outdoor ring and we got our flying changes easily in both directions like she'd been doing them like that forever! Last year I couldn't get changes even in our outdoor as it was too small. We worked all winter on building strength, balance, softness, and moving individual parts. The building with the green roof is our indoor, essentially an 80 foot round pen. I'm super grateful for it, but it limits what we can really do in the winter. So we fuss with the small stuff, work on building in the little things, and before we know it, PROGRESS!

"Snahzie Triple Triné" aka Trin a 3yo AQHA filly is our newest training project. She's with us in combination with Lazy Pony Farm to get started under saddle. She's had a lot of ground work, so in just a week with us she's already in full tack and learning aids from the ground. Expect she'll be under saddle within another week or so. She's half sister to my 2yo Seven and they've become buddies which is very cute.

Seven is officially "under saddle" as of today. She's a good baby and trying so hard to do what is asked. 😍 We walked in some little circles and chased after Neigh Neigh Howlett to get a little trot. Baby steps for baby horses. Looking forward to seeing where she goes.

Renewing my Ranch Judge card! Love spending time learning with people I have so much respect for with a bunch of the North East Ranch Horse Association board crew! Really appreciate all the updates and all the effort that gets put into these seminars by the ARHA staff and volunteers.
