Adam Kaeding was lucky enough to grow up next to Tim and Bud with the best teacher around.But Adam had two great teachers. Howard, to show him the ropes of racing and Joel to help keep the car going. Adam has stayed strong the last several months with losing his father and grandfather a week apart, and continuing to do what HK would love most, making everyday a great day. Thank you to all fans and sponsors for supporting the event this year. We hope to make it bigger and better!

Justin Sanders now a three-time winner of the event-including a hard-fought victory just this past weekend. His drive, determination, and consistency at Ocean Speedway reflect the same traits that made Howard a legend in the sport. Winning the HK Classic is about more than just taking the checkered flag-it's about honoring a man who helped shape California racing. With every lap, Justin continues to add to the legacy that Howard built.

Shane Golobic grew up racing on the same Northern California tracks that Howard Kaeding made legendary, in pit lanes where Howard's presence loomed large-not just as a competitor, but as a mentor and family friend.Though not raised in the Kaeding household, Shane was deeply influenced by the racing values that Howard preached: relentless work ethic, respect for the sport, and community.In 2023, Shane finally captured the Howard Kaeding Classic at Ocean Speedway, taking victory after three runner-up finishes. He described it as a milestone he'd chased for years-winning a race that honors Howard, someone he'd always looked up to from the stands and the pit area. His passion carried him over the finish line in a race that carried so much meaning.Shane's tribute is more than memory-it's gratitude for the legacy Howard built and the community he fostered through racing. It's a reflection of how Howard's influence shaped generations, helping raise champions both on and off the track.
