Every fi****ms conversation eventually turns into an argument about flashlights.

Some shooters swear by a weapon-mounted light because it allows them to maintain a solid two-handed grip.

Others prefer a handheld light because it gives them more flexibility and lets them illuminate an area without automatically pointing a firearm at it.

Part 2 of my Maryland HQL process and babyyyyy…the 7-day waiting period finally ended 😭

Went back to pick up my firearm and I KNOW some of y’all thought I bought something super tactical 😂

Plot twist:
It’s actually a G***k 17T training gun. (Still on MD's regulated list)

We’ll be using it for target practice during one of our qualification tests, but this type of training firearm is also used for force-on-force training and real-life scenarios so people can safely practice decision-making, movement, communication, and handling pressure without live ammo.

Because real training is more than standing still shooting paper 👏🏾

Honestly…I’m excited to start incorporating more scenario-based training because THAT’S where confidence really starts building.

Y’all remember I had a women’s event in April with Valentina from Naturally Armed …and one thing I LOVE about her is she talks heavily about advocacy when it comes to gun rights.

Not just training.
Not just permits.
Not just shooting.

Actually being involved in the process.

And I remember leaving that event saying I needed to stop just talking about it and actually DO something to be part of the mission.

Wellllllllll…
I did absolutely nothing 😭😂

THEN this past weekend at Train & Learn in Atlanta , I saw my girl Alicia who’s heavily involved in gun rights advocacy out in Colorado. So now I’m sitting there like okayyyy Shani…maybe this is your sign.

THEN TODAY…
Women for Gun Rights slid in my DM talking about:
“Hey, you should come to our summit in DC in September.”

And at this point I’m looking around like WHO SENT Y’ALL?! 👀😂

Because the timing was WAY too on point.

So boom…
I signed up TODAY as a member at the Founder Level baby because if I’m joining…I want ALL the things 😂

And yes…I will officially be at the Women for Gun Rights Summit in DC September 12–14!

It’s a whole weekend event:

Day 2 at was all action 🎯

Today was range day and whew…your girl was outside WORKING 😂

We rotated through 4 different stations:🔫 Rifle station🔫 Pistol station💧 Survival station 🏠 Shoot house training

Last year I was struggling at rifle station looking confused and humbled 😂…this year? Upgrades, training, and reps made a BIG difference.

One thing about Train & Learn…it’ll show you exactly what skills need work and exactly how much confidence comes from actually training.

Stay tuned for Day 3 recap because Atlanta still ain’t done with us yet 👀

Last night’s Women’s Beginner Handgun Class was SOLD OUT and babyyyy…the energy in that room was EVERYTHING 🔥

Women walked in nervous and left feeling more confident, more educated, and more prepared. Some signed up for future classes before they even walked out the door…and a few said, “Nope, I’m serious about my safety,” and joined one of our full training programs 👏🏾

That’s what we love to see.

This isn’t just about learning how to hold a firearm. It’s about building confidence, awareness, and knowing you don’t have to depend on everybody else for your protection.

We officially have 3 class dates open for June and 3 for July…and if last night taught us anything, these spots will not last.

Last year at Train & Learn…I was out there fighting for my LIFE at the rifle station 😂
This year though? Baby we made upgrades.

Lighter setup. Better optic. Added a magnifier. Better sling. And most importantly…Tony got me out here actually learning how to use all this stuff correctly BEFORE I embarrass myself in Atlanta again 😭

One thing about Train & Learn…you leave realizing real quick what skills need work. But that’s why we go. To train, learn, connect, and get better every single year.

Huge shoutout to for bringing instructors, shooters, creators, and good people together again this weekend.
Alright Atlanta…who’s coming this weekend?! 👀🔥
