Twenty-three years ago, these three were the first Firefighter 1s to work under CAL FIRE’s Cameron Park Fire Department contract. Fast forward to this week, where CAL FIRE NEU's Division Chief Bob Counts, CAL FIRE Amador-El Dorado Unit's Unit Chief Mike Blankenheim, and CAL FIRE NEU's Division Chief Brian Mackwood gathered for an event in Cameron Park and took the opportunity to recreate the photo that started it all. A heartfelt thank you to these dedicated CAL FIRE Chiefs for their continued leadership and unwavering service!

Some of the proceeds from the CPFA crab feed were used to send our Resident Firefighters to a Low Angle Rope Rescue Class. This class is the foundation for all of their future rescue training.
