Harmony Grove Junior High Earn Walk-Off Win Over Smackover Jr High Baseball 14U

It came down to the wire on Thursday, as Harmony Grove Junior High grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 2-1, over Smackover Jr High Baseball 14U. The game was tied at one in the bottom of the third when an error scored one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Harmony Grove Junior High pitchers struck out three, while Smackover Jr High Baseball 14U sat down five.

Smackover Jr High Baseball 14U opened the scoring in the first after DJ Porter was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.

In the bottom of the third inning, Harmony Grove Junior High went back into the lead after Jon Russell Chambers singled down the right field line, and Smackover Jr High Baseball 14U committed an error, each scoring one run.

Zack Purifoy stepped on the mound first for Harmony Grove Junior High. The pitcher surrendered zero hits and one run (zero earned) over one-third of an inning, striking out none and walking one. Jaxson Holmes stepped on the bump first for Smackover Jr High Baseball 14U. The starter allowed zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out four and walking none. Tucker Sweat and Chambers each came on in relief for Harmony Grove Junior High and shutdown Smackover Jr High Baseball 14U.

Chambers and Nate Sexton were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for Harmony Grove Junior High. Asher Miller and Chambers each drove in one run for Harmony Grove Junior High. Harmony Grove Junior High turned one double play in the game.

Big Third Inning Leads Harmony Grove Junior High Past Smackover Jr High Baseball 14U

Harmony Grove Junior High scored eight runs in the third inning, which helped them defeat Smackover Jr High Baseball 14U 13-1 on Thursday at Harmony Grove High School. Braxton Shaw drew a walk, scoring one run, Jon Russell Chambers singled, scoring one run, Adler Hopkins drew a walk, scoring one run, Zack Purifoy singled, scoring three runs, Dylan Key drew a walk, scoring one run, and Jathen Daniell drew a walk, scoring one run.

Smackover Jr High Baseball 14U opened the scoring in the second after Cam McGhee doubled, scoring one run.

Harmony Grove Junior High flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring five runs on three hits to take the lead, 5-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Shaw that drove in two.

Shaw earned the win for Harmony Grove Junior High. The starter gave up one hit and one run over three innings, striking out two and walking none. Dalton Davis stepped on the bump first for Smackover Jr High Baseball 14U. The starter surrendered three hits and five runs over one and one-third innings, striking out none and walking three.

Purifoy drove the middle of the lineup, leading Harmony Grove Junior High with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. Purifoy, Shaw, Key, Tucker Sweat, Chambers, and Beau Covington each collected one hit for Harmony Grove Junior High. Daniell paced Harmony Grove Junior High with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up 11 walks for the game. Key and Covington each stole multiple bases for Harmony Grove Junior High. Harmony Grove Junior High ran wild on the base paths, piling up six stolen bases for the game. Harmony Grove Junior High didn't commit a single error in the field. Harmony Grove Junior High Defeat Rison Wildcats Jr High

Harmony Grove Junior High outsted Rison Wildcats Jr High 5-1 on Monday.

Harmony Grove Junior High were the first to get on the board in the first when Asher Miller singled, scoring two runs.

Harmony Grove Junior High added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Brayden Baugus walked, Kanyon Carter singled down the right field line, and Ethan Douthit singled down the right field line, each scoring one run.

Jordan Waters started on the hill for Harmony Grove Junior High. The righty surrendered four hits and one run over two innings, striking out three and walking three. Cruz Gonzales started the game for Rison Wildcats Jr High. The southpaw gave up two hits and two runs over one inning, striking out two and walking one.

Miller drove the middle of the lineup, leading Harmony Grove Junior High with two runs batted in. The third baseman went 1-for-1 on the day. Douthit led Harmony Grove Junior High with two hits in two at bats. Harmony Grove Junior High stole six bases in the game. Harmony Grove Junior High didn't commit a single error in the field. Douthit had the most chances in the field with five.

Harmony Grove Junior High Falls To Rison Wildcats Jr High

Harmony Grove Junior High fell to Rison Wildcats Jr High 5-4 on Monday.

Rison Wildcats Jr High got on the board in the first inning after Payne Prescott hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

Harmony Grove Junior High captured the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the first after Adler Hopkins tripled to center field, and Dylan Key grounded out, each scoring one run.

Harmony Grove Junior High added one run in the second after Harmony Grove Junior High scored on a passed ball.

Rison Wildcats Jr High tied the game up in the top of the fifth thanks to two singles. Rison Wildcats Jr High tied the game at three on a single by Izzy Hamilton.

A single by Bryant Branch gave Rison Wildcats Jr High the lead, 5-3, in the top of the sixth.

Jathen Daniell stepped on the bump first for Harmony Grove Junior High. The hurler allowed three hits and three runs (two earned) over four and two-thirds innings, striking out eight and walking four. Branch led things off on the hill for Rison Wildcats Jr High. The righty allowed four hits and four runs (two earned) over five and one-third innings, striking out six and walking four.

Zack Purifoy and Hopkins each collected two hits for Harmony Grove Junior High. Purifoy, Key, and Hopkins each drove in one run for Harmony Grove Junior High. Key stole two bases.

Number eight hitter, Reid Allison, showed the depth of Rison Wildcats Jr High's lineup, by leading them with two hits in three at bats. Aiden McGarity, Prescott, Branch, and Hamilton each drove in one run for Rison Wildcats Jr High.
