✈️🇦🇺 The RAAF Roulettes perform in Rocky!

After flying in to Rockhampton Airport from RAAF Base Amberley, the Air Force Roulettes took time to meet local aviation fans before putting on a spectacular precision aerobatic display over Rockhampton.

A brilliant sight over Central Queensland before the team continued south to the Gold Coast for the Pacific Airshow this weekend. Always impressive to see the Roulettes in action and in CQ! 🔴⚪️🔵

Lock up your daughters the Yanks are in town !
Some of the 30 strong US Marine contingent in the back of the Osprey at the
Pacific Airshow Gold Coast media day yesterday.
They are based in Hawaii but on a 6 month rotation posting to Darwin.
They had a 6 1/2 flight down from Darwin stopping at MT ISA to refuel on the way!
They are loving being in Australia and loving being on the Gold Coast for the Pacific Airshow.

🔥 Pacific Airshow Gold Coast 2026 Just Got Even Bigger ✈️👀

The countdown to Pacific Airshow Gold Coast 2026 is well and truly on, with the second performer announcement adding another huge collection of aircraft and displays to an already stacked lineup.

Leading the latest release is the Royal Australian Air Force F-35A Lightning II, joined by the RAAF Roulettes, C-130 Hercules, No. 100 Squadron heritage fleet and PC-9.

Bryce Nietvelt and the Riverina Helicopters BO-105 Aerobatic Helicopter Display will also take to the skies, alongside the Southern Knights, Red Star Roolettes, C-47, CAC Mustang, P-40 Kittyhawk, Twin Vipers, McDermott Aviation C-160 and plenty more.

They join an already exciting lineup featuring acts including the USMC MV-22 Osprey Demo, the Matt Hall Racing team, Jeff Boerboon’s Yak-110, Gravity Industries Jet Suits, Emma McDonald's Extra 300L, Greg Colyer’s T-33 and a brilliant mix of Australian and international performers.

From the 14th to the 16th of August, Surfers Paradise Beach will become the front-row seat for three days of world-class flying directly over the Gold Coast.

TheGroundCrew is incredibly excited to be heading north and bringing you coverage from what is shaping up to be one unforgettable weekend in the skies.

Pacific Airshow Gold Coast is almost here, and we want to keep our local community in the loop as we get ready for show time.

✈️ Expect some extra aircraft noise
You may notice an increase in aircraft activity and overhead noise throughout the week. Please keep this in mind if you have young children, pets or anyone who may be sensitive to increased noise.

🚧 Plan ahead
There will be road closures and changes around Surfers Paradise during the event. Stay up to date with the latest community and traffic information via our website.

Drones and any other items that could negatively impact public safety, aircraft safety or present a real or perceived threat are strictly prohibited at Pacific Airshow®.
