🚨 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

In order to support our multi-sport athletes participating in a variety of varsity activities, ESP Academy 14U - Brown will not be fielding a team for the fall travel ball season. We will be returning to action Summer 2027. We'll have tryouts to fill open roster spots in January 2027. Thanks and good luck this fall to all the athletes out there!

For the second straight weekend, this group showed what growth really looks like with a 3rd Place finish at Warm-up 2 Nationals in Ruston, LA.

After dropping our second bracket game on Saturday, we found ourselves in the loser's bracket Sunday morning with a long road ahead. Instead of hanging their heads, these girls responded the only way they know how—by competing. Four straight wins later, including two walk-off victories, they had earned a spot in the loser's bracket final with a chance to win their way into the Championship Game.

Our run came to an end against a very talented Fury Fastpitch team, but not before these girls reminded everyone who they are. After falling behind by four runs, they battled all the way back and had the go-ahead run tagged out at the plate in what turned into one of the best games of the weekend..

Now it's on to NFA Nationals.

As this chapter comes to a close, we'll also begin preparing for the next one. We'll be replacing some incredible players who are aging up or moving on to bigger opportunities. They have helped build the standard for what ESPA 14U - Brown is all about, and we're excited to see what they accomplish next.

The future is bright, and we're just getting started.

Big-time growth from these girls this weekend.

When our scheduled two-day tournament was condensed into a one-day, double-elimination event, we knew it was going to be a long road. That road got even tougher when we dropped a 3-1 game to start the day.

The very next game, we found ourselves trailing 4-2 in the bottom half of the inning with time expired. In tournaments past, that situation would have likely ended with three quick outs and a quiet ride home. Not this time.

The girls battled back, walked it off, and never looked back.

Three more wins later, they had earned the opportunity to win one more and play for the championship.

Then came another test..

We surrendered five runs in the top of the first inning. A familiar situation. But this team isn't the same team it was a few weeks ago.

They immediately answered with four runs of their own in the bottom half of the inning, showing the fight, resilience, and belief that has been growing every week.

We eventually fell 6-5, with the tying run rounding third base as a defensive play ended the game by what felt like four inches of leather.

There's no going back to who we were. There's only the next step forward.

And that journey continues this weekend in Ruston.

Day 2 at the Road To The Show is in the books.

Game 1 ended in a tough 3-2 loss to the Colorado Bombers 14U. Our bats went quiet, and despite only allowing 2 hits defensively, we couldn’t quite close it out.

The girls responded the right way in Game 2 with a complete team win over Texas Magic 14U, 4-2. Timely hitting throughout the lineup and solid complementary softball helped us finish the day strong.

Unfortunately, a tie in the final game of pool play between two other teams pushed us out of the Championship Bracket and into the Gold Bracket.

But the mission hasn’t changed.

Day 1 at the Road To The Show Tournament in Oklahoma is in the books for ESP Academy 14U. Finished the day 1-1 against some strong competition.

Started the morning with a tough 7-5 loss to Nebraska Wave 14U in a game we had opportunities to close out but let slip away late. Proud of the fight and resilience our girls showed battling from start to finish.

The response in Game 2 said a lot about this team. We jumped out to an early 5-0 lead against Missouri Hustle 14U and held on late for a hard-fought 5-4 victory.
