River Rats Families —

Hotel room block information for our Lincoln tournament weekends has been sent out for:

These blocks are completely optional, but we like to provide them each year as a convenient option for families. Both are at the Graduate Hotel downtown and are typically only a 7–10 minute drive from our usual venues.

I also looked into getting a room block for June 12th–14th, but Lincoln is going to be packed that weekend thanks to the Savannah Bananas being in town. There are still hotels available around the city, but finding a large block near the Haymarket just was not possible this year.

A couple quick reminders:
• Apparel is in and will be available for pickup at practice on Wednesday.
• No practice tonight.

River Rats Summer Update 🐀🏀

Thank you to everyone who filled out the availability form. That input was extremely helpful, and I’m really excited to get things rolling with this group!

Practice Info:
We will begin practices on April 15th at 7:00 PM.
Practices will be held on Mondays & Wednesdays at 7:00 PM through the remainder of the school year, and we’ll re-evaluate timing once summer hits.

We know the schedule isn’t perfect, but we believe consistency matters. The time we spend in the gym is what separates us from other programs and where real player development happens. Tournaments are great and wins are great, but they’re earned through the work we put in at practice.

All practices fall on Mondays or Wednesdays, with a few dates off due to gym conflicts. Please check the schedule for specifics.

We may occasionally use alternate gyms (Wood River, Grand Island, etc.), but everything will stay local and will always be communicated ahead of time.

Communication:
Coaches will set up team group chats, and we’ll continue to share updates through Facebook, email, and text.

Tournament Schedule:
June 5–7 – Lincoln
June 12–14 – Lincoln
July 10–12 – Lincoln
July 18–19 – Kearney

For Lincoln tournaments, we’ll try to avoid or minimize Friday games to help reduce travel, avoid extra overnight stays, and limit conflicts as much as possible. Hotel block info will be coming soon.
