Western Montana Junior Golf Tour

Western Montana Junior Golf Tour The WMJGT is a junior golf tour for young men and women ages 10-17 in Western Montana.

Mission Statement: The Western Montana Junior Golf Tour, supported by The Butte Junior Golf Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization dedicated to growing the game of golf through young men and young women in Western Montana, by providing playing opportunities at multiple locations throughout the summer. Our hope is to teach valuable life skills through the game of golf, such as honesty, in

tegrity, respect and responsibility. By using funds from sponsors, we hope to make this junior golf tour accessible to everyone and to give opportunities to those with financial challenges.

Our final event, the tour championship was a huge success! Special thanks to Old Works and PGA Professional Paul Johns for hosting. The golf course was in great condition and the staff was wonderful! Congrats to the BJGF collage scholarship recipients. Tatum Nagle and Will McGree received $1000 each and we wish them the best as they move on to bigger and better opportunities!! Congrats to the Tour Championship division winners!!

The Tour Championship at Old Works will be a 10am sh***un! We will serve lunch after competition of play and have trophy presentation at that time. We will also be presenting 2 previous tour players with college scholarships!

Congrats to the 38 juniors who qualified for this year's Tour Championship at Old Works. Each of the 38 players qualified by competing in at least 4 regular season events. Invitations have been sent to those who qualified. At the conclusion of the Tour Championship we will award 2 recipients of last year's Butte Junior Golf Foundations College Scholarships. Congrats to Tatum Nagle and Will McGree as the recipients of the scholarships!

Last regular season event is Monday July 27th at Anaconda CC. Tee times will start at 9am. Please remember if you want to qualify for the Tour Championship at Old Works on August 11th, you must have participated in at least 4 regular season events. Monday is your last chance to qualify. I will send invitations to those who qualify next week after conclusion of the ACC event.
