Race Recap – US 24 Speedway (A‑Wing)

Started the night in the heat race rolling off 3rd, and while I slipped back to 5th, it gave me a solid feel for the track and what the car needed for the feature. Not the result I wanted there, but it set the tone for a night of learning and battling.

In the A Feature, I lined up 15th and got to work early. The car came alive, and I was able to climb all the way up to 9th at one point. I was really settling into a rhythm, but a small misstep cost me a few spots and dropped me back. I regrouped, kept digging, and brought it home in 14th.

Not the finish I was chasing, but there were real flashes of speed and progress out there. Every lap is another step forward, and I’m ready to build on it next time out.

This past weekend at US 24 Speedway was definitely one of perseverance and lessons learned.

Friday night in the A-Wing, I started 8th in the heat and finished 7th, then had a tough break in the B-main starting 8th and ending with a DNF unfortunately cutting that part of the night short.

In the non-wing, I had a strong start to the heat but ended up falling back from pole and finished 4th. In the feature, I started 10th, got caught up in an accident on lap one, went to the tail of all 15 cars, and worked my way back up to finish 8th.

Saturday showed some improvement and determination. In the A-Wing, I went 6th to 5th in the heat, then 2nd to 3rd in the B-main to transfer into the feature, where I started 15th and finished 10th.

In the non-wing, I start and finished 5th in the heat, got taken out early in the B-main and had to come from the tail of 12 cars to finish 5th, transferring to the feature. Starting 17th in the feature, I misjudged a driver early and dropped back to 20th, but kept digging and fought my way back up to finish 6th.

Not the easiest weekend, but proud of the effort, the passes made, and continuing to push forward each time we hit the track. 🏁
