Our driver took the weekend off to do other things he loves before school starts on Monday. After I got the official word from the boss man himself, I can finally share, Caleb’s 2026 race season has concluded. He finished 2nd in points at Runestone Go Kart Association as well as Westport. 2 tracks, 2 second place finishes, 2nd year of racing. 2 big accomplishments for our favorite driver. We could not be anymore proud of Caleb for the season he has had, it’s been a year of learning and some major growth and we could not be any more proud of him. Way to keep digging and not give up when things weren’t going well Caleb! Your perseverance and determination has gotten you to where you are at today. Some major milestones were met this season with his first heat and feature win. Next year he has to move up to the next class so it will be a year of learning and seat time all over again. Thank you to everyone who has helped us get him to where he is and everyone who supports him and shows up for him day in and day out. Thank you to our sponsors who make this possible for him! We are shifting gears to football season as that started two weeks ago for him, his first game comes up next week as well so time to focus on the next sport/season!

Proud is an absolute understatement! We were never planning to run for points however, when you have the opportunity and you’re there, you go for it! Today was Caleb’s last race in Westport and the kid pulled it off, he finished 2nd in points in Westport his second year of racing. We could not be anymore proud of him. The growth he has had this season is absolutely unbelievable. Last year was all about getting the feel for the kart, this year the kid found the throttle and had our hearts racing. It has been a challenge this year fighting the go kart and finding the right set up for him. No wins came at Westport this season, we struggle at that track but showing up every week, and doing his absolute best was enough to stamp a second place finish. We have to thank everyone who makes this program go round for Caleb, he would not be able to have pulled this off without all of the support behind him. From late night maintenance, to grandparents showing up for him week after week, to the sponsorship behind him, to all the people who have offered set up help at the track; it truly takes a village and we could not possibly thank everyone enough for making this happen for him.

Thank you to Davey and Tim for the hours wrenched on this kart to fine tune and try to give Caleb the best kart he could have and for coming together endlessly for our son! Thank you to McKenna for always being patient and tolerating her brothers racing so he can do this, thank you to Liz for supporting him. To Grandma Kim, Grandpa Rocky, Grandpa Lee, Grandma Joyce, Grandma RaeAnn, Grandpa John, Grandpa Joel, Grandma Karla, and Diana for showing up for him and supporting him time after time. His belief in himself comes from the village behind him. And last but certainly not least thank you to all of our sponsors who make this possible for him and support him.

Kid finally got her done tonight!!!! Got his first heat win AND his first feature win in the same night!! To say we are proud is an understatement. Kid ran his race and hit his mark every time and got it done finally. Gotta thank all of our sponsors who make this possible for Caleb.

Caleb’s got some big plans the next couple of weeks. The plan is to race Westport this Sunday the 21st and next weekend he has a very busy weekend of racing planned with kicking off Friday night the 26th at Runestone in Alex and then Saturday the 27th and Sunday the 28th the plan is to run the double header at Westport.

It’s race day!!! Caleb will be racing in Alex tonight at Runestone go kart track. Finally a nice night.
