Dear Skills FC Families,
For many years, Skills FC has been about more than just soccer. It has been about community, culture, and a shared love for the game. From our youngest players to our adult teams, we have built something special together, and we are incredibly grateful for every family that has been part of this journey. ❤️⚽
First, we want to reassure everyone that our current Spring and Summer 2026 season will continue exactly as planned.
All teams are already registered for their scheduled tournaments, and our coaches remain fully committed to delivering a fantastic Spring and Summer season for our players. We are excited to finish the outdoor year strong together. 🌞⚽
As we look toward the future, we are excited to announce an important evolution for our club.
Beginning in Fall 2026, Skills FC will transition to becoming a Futsal-focused club, with our primary season running October through April.
It is important to emphasize that Skills FC is not going away.
Instead, we are choosing to focus the club around the part of the game that we believe develops players best and aligns most strongly with our philosophy.
Why Futsal?
Futsal has always been at the heart of our philosophy. The game develops:
⚽ Technical skill
⚽ Quick decision-making
⚽ Creativity under pressure
⚽ Confidence on the ball
Many of the world’s greatest players grew up playing futsal, and we believe it is one of the best environments for developing intelligent, technical players.
Over the years, we have seen firsthand how much our players benefit from futsal. By focusing our club around this format, we can provide an even better development experience for our players.
What This Means for the Outdoor Soccer Season
With this transition, Skills FC will no longer operate outdoor youth soccer teams beginning in Fall 2026.
This means that during the upcoming July tryout period, families should plan for players to join an outdoor soccer club for the fall and summer seasons.
We understand this is a significant change, and we want to support every player through the process.
If your family would like guidance, we are happy to provide club recommendations on a player-by-player basis to help find the best environment for your child.
Our Invitation to Return for Futsal Season
While players may compete with other clubs outdoors, we would love to welcome everyone back for futsal season each year from October through April.
Players will be able to play outdoor soccer with another club during the traditional season and still return to Skills FC for futsal, allowing them to benefit from both environments.
Our futsal program will continue to focus on:
🔥 High-level training
🔥 Competitive futsal leagues and tournaments
🔥 A strong community environment
🔥 Player development that translates to the outdoor game
We truly believe this model gives players the best of both worlds: outdoor soccer with a local club during the traditional season, and high-level futsal development with Skills FC during the winter months.

A lo largo de los años hemos visto de primera mano cuánto beneficia el futsal a nuestros jugadores. Al enfocar nuestro club alrededor de este formato, podremos ofrecer una experiencia de desarrollo aún mejor.
¿Qué significa esto para la temporada de fútbol al aire libre?
Con esta transición, Skills FC dejará de operar equipos juveniles de fútbol al aire libre a partir del Otoño de 2026.
Esto significa que durante el próximo período de tryouts en julio, las familias deberán planear que los jugadores se unan a otro club de fútbol al aire libre para las temporadas de otoño y verano.
Entendemos que este es un cambio importante y queremos apoyar a cada jugador durante este proceso.
Si su familia desea orientación, estaremos encantados de ofrecer recomendaciones de clubes de manera individual, para ayudar a encontrar el mejor entorno para cada jugador.
Nuestra invitación para regresar en la temporada de futsal
Aunque los jugadores puedan competir con otros clubes al aire libre, nos encantaría darles la bienvenida de regreso para la temporada de futsal cada año, de octubre a abril.
