🔥 YEAR ONE. STATE STAGE. 🔥

In our very first year as a program, we stepped onto the State Tournament stage and finished:

🥉 2 3rd Placers
4️⃣ 1 Fourth Place
5️⃣ 1 Fifth Place
6️⃣ 1 Sixth Place
🏆 19th Overall out of 96 Teams

For a first-year club, finishing Top 20 in a 96-team field is something to be proud of.

Five wrestlers fought their way onto the podium. Seven more earned the right to compete at the highest level our state has to offer. Every one of them represented our program with toughness and class.

Year One wasn’t about being perfect.
It was about building standards, building belief, and proving we belong.

The foundation is set.
The bar is higher now.

Year Two starts tomorrow. 💪🤼‍♂️

The Lady Black Ops Wrestling Club rolled into the first-ever sanctioned Kentucky Girls State Tournament ready to compete—and they showed out in a BIG way.

Our club brought 16 wrestlers to the mat this weekend and walked away with:

🥇 3 Champions
🥈 2 Second-Place Finishers
🥉 3 Third-Place Finishers
4️⃣ 2 Fourth-Place Finishes

➡️ 10 of 16 wrestlers placed in a tough field.

More important than medals:

For a young club, this shows our wrestlers are learning how to wrestle the right way — pushing the pace, fighting for positions, and supporting each other from first whistle to last.

Wrestling will break your kid’s heart at some point

They will lose

And that’s exactly why it works

Wrestling teaches kids how to lose without quitting
How to work without guarantees
How to face pressure alone and still stand up

No shortcuts
No excuses
No blaming teammates

Just effort and accountability

That’s uncomfortable
But it’s powerful

Years from now
They may forget most of the matches

But they won’t forget what it felt like
To fight through something hard
And survive it

That lesson stays forever
