Jana,
Life is not always fair, and sometimes the challenges we face are difficult to understand. One thing I do know is that God has blessed you with an incredible heart, and you are one of the toughest young ladies I have ever had the privilege to coach.
I know how much you love this game and how badly you wanted to continue playing. When an injury takes away something we are passionate about, it can feel incredibly unfair. But while softball may be ending sooner than you hoped, it does not define who you are.
What stands out most to me is the way you have handled this adversity. Your determination, resilience, and refusal to quit, even when things became difficult, have been nothing short of inspiring. Those qualities will take you much further in life than any accomplishment on a softball field ever could.
I want you to know how proud I am of you not just as a player, but as a person. You already possess the character, strength, and perspective that many people spend a lifetime trying to develop. Because of that, I have no doubt that whatever path you choose next, you will be successful.
You will be greatly missed in the dugout, but the impact you have had on this team and the people around you will not be forgotten.
Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your journey.
Coach Chad
