The Meet of Champs is being held at the Conway Community Center.

Address: 250 Central Landing Blvd, Conway, AR 72032

Other info:

No food and drink allowed in the gym area. Food and drink are allowed in the concession area and in the pool area.

All families attending the meet will need a wristband. We will have a table set up at the entryway for parents and swimmers to get their wristbands.

Blankets and towels need to be placed under chairs on the gym floor.

Coaches will need to use the family bathrooms in the back of the gym. The locker rooms will be open to the public (for both families attending the MOC and families using the facility for recreational use)

If your athlete is within the top 24 of anything, please bring them to practice. I will have a relay list together today or tomorrow for you all. I will contact you if your athlete is selected to be on a relay!

Thank you to everyone who came out to the meet this morning. It was a blast! I want to congratulate ALL of our swimmers today, because we just won our first meet of the season! We couldn’t have done it without them!

We have a few new Meet of Champs qualifiers:

Tricia Sarkodie: Silver in Freestyle and Butterfly
Ethan Bain: Silver in Freestyle and Breaststroke
Garrett Brown: Silver in Freestyle

As far as Meet of Champs goes, we should have a list of everyone who has qualified individually out to you all by tomorrow. They will be having relays at Meet of Champs, so we will be recruiting some of the athletes who haven’t qualified individually to help us out on those relays. We will let you know if your athlete will be on a relay. If you know that you won’t be able to make it to the meet, go ahead and send us a message to let us know, so we don’t put them in the meet.

Otter Creek Meet Information

POOL ADDRESS
14000 Otter Creek Parkway, LR, AR 72210

The pool opens at 7am. Please have your volunteers arrive by 7:30am. The volunteer meeting will take place at 7:40am inside of the clubhouse.

WARM-UPS/ START TIME
Warm-ups will take place from 7am- 8am. Each team will have all 6 lanes during their time.

Otter Creek: 7:00am- 7:20am
Bryant: 7:20am- 7:40:am
Lakewood: 7:40am- 8:00am

The meet starts at 8:05am with the playing of the National Anthem followed by the kick-boards as the first event. Relays will take place in the middle of the meet.

PARKING
Parking is available in the clubhouse lot, along the correct side of the main road (against the curb), the lot near the pavillion (just past the clubhouse), at Otter Creek Community Church, and at Otter Creek Elementary. Encourage your families to follow basic traffic and vehicle laws. Please note the following prohibited areas:
Obstructing residential driveways
Obstructing cross-walks
Within intersections
Near the Gates
Obstructing structures or facilities

SEATING/ TENTS
Tents and chairs are encouraged due to the limited amount of shade on the deck. Tents can also be setup in the grassy area outside of the gate and down by the pavilion. Timers will be in the shaded area.

The recreational pool and kiddie pool will be closed during the duration of the event. No one is allowed to enter the water unless competing in the meet.

FOOD & DRINKS
Outside drinks and snacks are allowed. The concession stand will be open for breakfast, brunch, and drink purchases as well. A limited number of Chick-Fil-A breakfast sandwiches will be available for $5 each.

HEAT SHEETS
A limited number of heat sheets will be available for purchase at $2 each; cash only.

Team pictures are tomorrow evening! We will be taking our photos instead of practice. Individual photos will start at 6:30 pm. Team photo will be at 7:15pm. Please bring your swimmers in their team shirts and suits!

I just want to take a moment to say thank you to everybody from the bottom of my heart. We had an excellent meet, and it was so fun to watch and cheer for all of the athletes. I want to congratulate our new Meet of Champs qualifiers from this meet:
