3 of my many absolutely amazingly talented pitchers. I have watched them grow into beautiful young ladies. I remember teaching them how to grip a ball at 8,9 and 10 years old. … And now this ❤️.

This will always be my favorite part of teaching. Looking forward to sharing these with many more coming through the ranks 💪🥎

💯 🎯

Everybody loves talking about the grind… until the grind starts grinding back.

Somewhere along the way, athletes started believing the goal was earning the scholarship or making the college roster. Like that’s the finish line.

It’s not.

It’s the starting line.

The older I get, the more I realize this game doesn’t get easier. The commitment gets bigger. The pressure gets heavier. The expectations get louder. Every level demands a better version of you.

You fight to get recruited. Then you fight to stay on the field. You fight for innings. You fight through failure. You fight through injuries. You fight through doubt. Nobody owes you anything just because you finally got there.

This is why I always say… you are your work ethic. Not your talent. Not your rankings. Not your followers. The work is the only thing that travels with you.

And before somebody twists this… I’m still the biggest believer in kids playing multiple sports and being kids. But if your dream is to play at a high level, stop expecting the journey to feel comfortable.

It’s supposed to test you. It’s supposed to make you question yourself. You’re supposed to have moments where you wonder if you’re good enough. Those moments don’t mean you’re done… they show you exactly what you’re made of.

I’ve felt it in college. I’ve felt it wearing a National Team jersey. I’ve felt it playing professionally in Japan.

Different jersey. Same damn grind.

This game humbles everyone.

The question isn’t whether it’s going to get hard.

The question is…

When it does, are you built to stay?

💯 !! From the struggles is where you grow the most.

Pitching is not for the weak. It is mentally , physically and emotionally draining a lot of the times. But its from the ashes and working through that you find yourself and what you are made of !

Sometimes the most important thing I say in a game has nothing to do with the next pitch.

I’ll walk out to the circle…

Look my kid dead in the eyes and say 🗣️

“Dude you work WAY to hard to doubt yourself now,
TRUST YOUR TRAINING.”

It’s about reiterating the WORK, HUSTLE and GRIND you put into it.

When doubt creeps in that’s what we need to pull from our mental piggy bank the most 

Not because I’m being mean.

Because I know exactly what she’s capable of.

When your mind starts spiraling… When you’re feeling sorry for yourself… When one bad pitch turns into five…

You’re already beat. The game didn’t beat you. Your thoughts did. Take a breath. Quit searching for a way out.Nobody is coming to help, it’s YOU. This is where you decide who you’re going to be.

Compete. Fight. Grind through it.

The best athletes aren’t the ones who never lose confidence.

They’re the ones who learn how to find it again… while the game’s still on the line.

The Maniax Softball Organization is proud to announce tryouts for several new teams as we continue building on our long-standing tradition of softball on the west side of the mighty Mississippi!

For the 2027 season, we plan to field youth teams in the following age groups:

8U, 9U, and 10U

Way to go little lady ! Congrats Allie !

Day 1 complete of the State Tournament. Going in to day 2 undefeated after beating a highly ranked team 5 to 1. Tournament officials selected an MVP and it went to our number 3, Allie! Day 2 here we come!

Congratulations Ava Grace for making LWSA All State . Ava pitched over 96% of the innings for the entire 2026 school ball season.

Also congrats to her teammates Sophie crochet for also making All State and Emma Delatte for Honorable mention.
