Our ride challenge pushed the team to think fast, communicate clearly, and work together under pressure. The goal was to complete four rides in just 1.5 hours with no Lightning Lane, no duplicate rides, and only one single-rider pass allowed.

The team worked together to evaluate ride locations, wait times, and what attractions everyone could handle. They chose:

* Incredicoaster
* Jessie’s Critter Carousel
* Golden Zephyr
* Grizzly River Run

As ride times changed throughout the challenge, the team had to adapt quickly and adjust the plan on the go, swapping out Jumping Jellyfish and Little Mermaid to stay on schedule.

This challenge became more than just rides — it strengthened teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and trust within the group. Everyone contributed ideas, listened to each other, and stayed flexible as conditions changed. The experience helped build stronger communication skills and showed how working together leads to success.

Day 1 at Disneyland was a success! We had a ton of fun, kids are tired and we are all ready for some rest, so we can get up and do it all over again!

Team building was a scavenger hunt today! All the athletes did a great job. What shall the coaches throw at them tomorrow?!

Catching up for the weekend at state so far. We have been playing musical horses as we had a horse go lame right before competition. The team has rallied together and supported everyone.

Friday
Ethan and Mae ran Birangle taking 12th out of 29 with 26.402. Great run and cross over.
Emilie and Mae competed in barrels against 39 other athletes. Emilie placed 19th with a 15.482 and Mae placed 6th with a 14.987.

Saturday
Started with Team Versatility-Ethan, Kylee, Reece, Mae. The kids executed the patterns and tied in 11th out of 20 teams.
Ended the night with Drill-Ethan, Emilie, Mae, Reece. Taking 7th out of 16 teams is something to be proud of, and this season was about so much more than placement.
Not every run ends with the results we hoped for, but this team gave everything they had out in that arena.
The growth, teamwork, resilience, and commitment these kids showed cannot be measured by a score sheet. Proud is an understatement. 💙🤍
