We are back with another Multi-Purpose Machine Series. Today we are looking at the Pec Deck & Rear Delt Fly Machine.

The two main movements you can do on this machine is obviously its name sake, a Pec Fly & Delt Fly. However, if you are doing just a Push or Pull day, you can get a greater range of motion by doing single arms of the same exercise. This is especially helpful on the Rear Fly movement as you are now able to sit so you can get a greater range of motion and better stretch increasing the Time Under Tention ( ) and allowing you to continually work vs resting scrolling through Tick Tock between sets.

Finally you can also target different muscle fibers by changing the seat height. For example; a high seat height will target more mid-lower chest fibers while a lower seat position will target more upper chest and even some front delts ( ).

Success belongs to those who can endure rejection, embrace repetition, accept feedback, and keep going long after everyone else has quit.

What does that mean?

Endure rejection-You lose, you learn and keep going. Your told you can't, you keep going.
Embrace repetition-Practice, practice, PRACTICE!
Accept Feedback-Listen to those who have come before you, teachers & coaches have learned what works, and what doesn't work. Become a student of your craft and learn from others.
Keep going after others have quit-Hardwork will trump talent when you are willing to push through and keep going where others would stop.

Most people use a leg press for just that, a leg press. But did you know that doing something as simple as changing your foot position can change what you are targeting?

“Normal” foot placement-Feet parallel and shoulder width feet apart is best for overall leg development hitting, quads, inner/outer thighs, and glutes relatively equally.

Wide foot placement-This foot placement emphasizes inner thigh development, helping get that “wider” overall leg look.
Narrow Stance-This foot placement helps round out the outer thighs for the widest look possible.
High Feet-Speaking of rounding out, this foot placement helps target those glutes and hamstrings to help you make those husky jeans, look like skinny jeans.
Finally, Low Feet-Specifically target the quads.
Now what if you want even more ideas for the simple leg press, what about calf raise or another b***y builder with Single Leg Press’?

Want help coming up with a Fitness Plan to help you on your personal , message us to set up a time to meet with one of our Certified Personal Trainers.
