Back with our Multi-Purpose Machine Series.

Today we are going to talk about one of our newest additions to our Sister gym in Bedford, the Hip Ab/Adductor Machine,

The two main obvious ways to use the machine is the standard Abduction for the Glute Medius & Minimus while the standard Adduction motion targets the inner thigh (Adductor Longus, Magnus & Brevis)

Now if you lean forward while in the Abduction position targets more directly the Glute Maximus while still hitting the Glute Medius but indirectly. So if you want to make sure and get that fully rounded 🍑, be sure and incorporate all these variations or total coverage.

Why does future XCEL:Personal Trainer Niko say to not skip leg day? Because our lower body consists of the biggest muscles in the body which means they take the most work in order to grow! Don't stop the workout when you want too, stop when your DONE!

To reach your goals, you have to believe you can get there. You also have to realize in order keep improving, you have to keep looking for ways to get better.

What makes GOATs GOATs? They are not complacent with just being the best, they keep working to make sure no one can catch them. Kobe figured out how to workout 3x a day while everyone else was practicing 2x a day. MJ had to prove that just because he was retired, he could still outplay his STARTERS on the team he owned as he was not happy with their work ethic. Tom Brady had to show everyone that he could win no matter what city he was in. Tiger kept changing his swing as he new he had weaknesses he wanted to eliminate.

Never give up, never quit, never stop improving. Your lasts a lifetime, be the best you can be everyday.

What are Macros and how do we count them?

Macros are the three main macronutrients—carbohydrates, proteins, and fats—that your body needs, but how do we know how many we need? That depends on what your goal is (lose weight, maintain, gain muscle), age, height, weight, ect.

There are many calculators out there that you can use (MyFitnessPal, Macros, MacroFactor, etc), that can get you a a basic starting point, but remember that there are many factors that go into what you need to accomplish you goals that the equations they use cannot factor for such as genetics or accurate caloric expenditure so if you are counting macros, be sure and keep track if you are heading in the right direction for your goal so you can make micro adjustments if needed to you macros for best long term results.

Stay tuned as later on we will take a deeper dive in figuring out what best Macro percentage is best for you!

A few weeks ago, our Wolf Pack Fitness PGA Jr League All Stars traveled to Pebble Brook in Noblesville to compete with 50+ All Star Teams from across the State.

Wolf Pack was represented by Ben Jr, Conner, Kip, & Reece. Ben Jr & Reece teamed up to fire a team record +2 for the 9 holes during the All Stars (All time record -4 held by Conner & Emerich @ Otter Creek).

Our All Star team will look very different next year as Ben Jr, Conner & Reece will be graduating to the 17U division and Kip still having 3 more years to compete in the 13U.

Thank you to everyone for a great 14th season and look forward to our 15th next year!

Next up in our Recovery Series we are talking about the most scientifically researched supplement, .

Creatine was first discovered and researched in 1832 by the French chemist Michel Eugène Chevreul when he isolated the organic compound from meat. Since then, it has been proven over and over again that it helps refill phosphocreatine stores to help muscle cells produce ATP energy faster between intense efforts, reduce inflammation, hydrate muscle cells to encourage muscle healing to help you recover faster from intense workouts or competitions.

General consensus is to take 3 to 5 grams daily to get maximum results. Creatine can be taken by most people, if you have a preexisting kidney disease, or are pregnant or breast feeding you should consult your doctor first.

What type of Creatine should you take? There are many companies spending a lot of money on marketing saying their creatine is better (Micronized Creatine, HCL, HMB?). Basically IF there is any benefit from these types of creatine is it may have a higher absorption rate, BUT does the extra cost make it worth it? Maybe not. As long as you are regular with your supplementation and dosing, good old Creatine Monohydrate works just fine and is by far the cheapest.

If you want to order some from 1st Phorm, remember Client's get 5% off all orders we place orders at the beginning of each month.

Last weekend, Hickory Hills held their 2026 Club Championship which included 2 past champions combining for 9 total wins (8 by Jake Olson ). Also included in the field was 2 of the Brownstown High School Golf Team & 1 from the Middle School Team.

Ben Wisler Sr saw his 4 stroke lead from day 1 evaporate as Luke Warren (Past Champion) make up all 4 strokes in 4 holes that included 2 birdies! Ben won by 4 with scores of 72-77 with the Luke finishing 2nd and Jake coming in 3rd.

4th-7th was Chad, Max (nipping at his dads heals), Eli, and Benny Jr.

The final club championship we are sponsoring for the year will be the Couples Championship which was rescheduled for Sept 27! Will Luke get his revenge with him and his wife Meghan defending their title?

Thanks to all who participated and we hope to see participation in all championships rise. (Should we look at a runner up plaque?)

Sunday the 9th was a busy day at Hickory Hills with the White Tee Mens Club Championship, Ladies Club Championship, & Senior Club Championship all taking place.

Lisa Zike not only won both Net & Gross Divisions but won Back to Back years (4th overall) as Ladies Club Champ with her long time rival, Rhonda nipping at her heals again. But they both need to keep an eye out for Reece who fought hard after a disappointing start to finish in 3rd. Reece won the Jr Club Championship and should come out swinging next year as she has just entered 8th grade!

In the Senior Division Roger Spencer won the Gross Division shooting an 81 coming from behind on the 2nd 9. Mark Sommers started off strong and held onto the Net Division winning by 2.

Finally in the White Tee Net Championship we has a close fight with Mitchell Grider shooting 71 to beat Ben Wisler Sr by 1.

Wolf Pack was proud to sponsor the plaques again this year and today will finish up the 2nd round of the Men's Club Championship where Jake will try to win his 9th title.
