For those who may not know or are new to our organization, our daughter, Raelyn, is a T-cell leukemia survivor. She was diagnosed at just four years old and fought through two and a half long, hard years of treatment.
September is both Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and Leukemia Awareness Month. It carries profound meaning for our family: while we take this time to raise vital awareness, it also marks the anniversary of Rae’s diagnosis.
After spending months in the hospital watching her rely on blood transfusions to keep fighting, we committed to hosting two blood drives each year to support others facing the same battle. With blood supplies often facing critical shortages, these donations are truly lifesaving.
We are hosting our second blood drive of the year on Saturday, September 19th, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Medici Baseball & Training Center.
