🧘‍♀️ In addition to teaching Pilates, I’m also a certified yoga instructor, and I had the opportunity to create a 15-minute yoga flow for Fit&Well designed to help you feel looser, more limber, and ready to move with ease.

This beginner-friendly sequence focuses on mobility, functional release, and connecting breath to movement, perfect if you’ve been feeling tight, stuck at a desk, or just want a mindful reset.

📖 “A yoga instructor says this flow will help you feel looser and more limber in just 15 minutes”

Grateful to Balanced Body, Inc. for recommending me and to Fit &Well for sharing this piece and helping spread feel-good movement!

Wunda 🪑Wednesday 💥One of the reasons I love the Balanced Body EXO Split Pedal Wunda Chair is its versatility - - especially when it comes to scapular mobility and one of my all-time favorite exercises: Around the World! 🌍💪This flow challenges shoulder stability and mobility while strengthening key muscles like the serratus anterior, lower traps, and rhomboids. It also targets the upper and lower back extensors and encourages healthy spinal rotation.👉 Try alternating Single-Arm’s with Around the World variations to feel the full-body integration and postural lift. Your shoulders will thank you!

💫 Neck Pull Across the Apparatus | Day 5: Teaser 3 on the Pilates Arc

We’re nearing the end of the series with a dynamic expression of spinal control: Teaser 3.

This variation builds beautifully on the principles from Neck Pull on the Mat—deep core activation, spinal articulation, and coordination of breath with movement.

Inhale to lengthen and arc the spine over the barrel as the legs lower. Exhale to lift everything - - arms, legs, and spine - - into Teaser. The Pilates Arc gives the spine feedback and support, helping you sequence movement with clarity and flow.

This is Pilates at its most integrated:
✨ Strength + Mobility
✨ Precision + Breath
✨ Support + Challenge

Stay tuned for tomorrow’s final post in this series: Side Stretch on the Ladder Barrel - - a lateral twist on everything we’ve explored so far.

🌀 NECK PULL SERIES | DAY 4: Rolling In and Out 🌀
Today I take the Mat-based Neck Pull off the floor and onto the Trapeze Table with a fluid and functional exercise: Rolling In and Out.

This kneeling sequence builds the strength, flexibility, and spinal articulation that Neck Pull requires - - while offering support and resistance to deepen the work.

🔁 Movement Breakdown:
1️⃣ Inhale – Press down on the bar and flex the spine, rounding forward
2️⃣ Exhale – Lean back into thigh stretch, lift the bar to chest height, and extend the spine
3️⃣ Inhale – Press the bar down again, folding back into spinal flexion
4️⃣ Exhale – Stack the spine upright to return to kneeling

✨ This full-body exercise:
🔥 Strengthens abs, back, glutes, quads, and hamstrings
🧘‍♀️ Stretches the spine, quads, and hip flexors
🎯 Teaches spinal control, breath sequencing, and posterior chain activation

Just like Neck Pull, this is about spine-led movement - - but with the roll-down bar as a guide, it’s easier to feel where the articulation begins and how to sequence through the entire body.

🎥 Watch the flow - - fluid, focused, and full of intention.

✨ Tomorrow: The series shifts to the Pilates Arc for new challenges in core strength and spinal mobility.

Day 3 of Neck Pull Across the Apparatus. Today’s variation flips the script - - literally.Reverse Swan on the Wunda Chair may be a spinal extension exercise, but it’s deeply informed by the flexion work we explore in Neck Pull. Why? Because spinal articulation, core control, and pelvic awareness don’t stop just because the direction changes. Here’s how Neck Pull shows up in Reverse Swan:🔹Abdominal strength creates opposition for a controlled and supported lift🔹 Spinal segmentation learned in flexion translates to smooth extension🔹 Pelvic stability and breath control remain essentialDifferent movement, same principles. It’s all part of building a spine that moves both ways with integrity.Tomorrow: we roll into the Trapeze. Don’t miss it! Which version of Neck Pull has challenged you most this week? Drop it below!

Pilates is a system - - connected, layered, and powerful. Today’s focus: building from the Mat to the Reformer.

The spinal articulation of Neck Pull evolves into the challenge of Short Box Abdominals: Twist & Advanced Abs.

Key Connections:
🔵 Short Box Twist shares spinal articulation, core control, and pelvic stability with Neck Pull
🔵 Advanced Abdominals and Neck Pull both train deep spinal flexion, posterior chain engagement, and total core integration

Let the springs offer feedback. They reveal exactly where control lives in the body.

Tomorrow’s progression heads to the Wunda Chair!

05/12/2025

Threading the Neck Pull across the Pilates apparatus starts today! From the Mat to the Ladder Barrel, this series explores how spinal articulation, core control, and movement intention evolve across form, gravity, and feedback.

We begin with the Mat—where this classical gem lives in its purest form.

Key Focus:
🔹Spinal Articulation
🔹 Abdominal Strengthening
🔹 Core Control
🔹 Hamstring Lengthening

This is your foundation: flexion, extension, sequencing, and breath-driven intention.

Which movement foundation are you exploring today?

Stay tuned—tomorrow we take it to the Reformer.
