Let's Go Warriors Season-credentialed 2013-22, now sharing what I learned from Steph Curry, Draymond, Kerr + others about enjoying the moment and loving the process 🫶💙💛

10/25/2026

NOTE: THIS DESCRIPTION WILL BE REPLACED WITH CHAPTERS/TIMESTAMPS ONCE THE LIVE IS FINISHED 🏀🫶💙💛 Welcome to our Golden State Warriors vs. Phoenix Suns LIVE Watch Party, where the biggest question might not be whether the Warriors can beat the Suns, but whether Steve Kerr has enough healthy bodies to field a rotation!

No Steph Curry. No Brandin Podziemski. No Al Horford. And probably no Draymond Green. That leaves Golden State with potentially just TEN available players, INCLUDING all three two-way guys!

So… it's Gui Santos and Yaxel Lendeborg time! 💪

With our thumbnail featuring Gui against Dillon Brooks, we might as well embrace the matchup. How will Gui handle Brooks' physicality? What can Yaxel show us with more responsibility and fewer veterans around him? And which of the Warriors' available youngsters might make the most of an unexpected opportunity?

This is the kind of night where we get to learn something about the guys who don't normally get the spotlight. Maybe it won't be pretty. Maybe it'll be surprisingly fun. That's why we watch!

Join our live, independent Warriors conversation for real-time reactions, basketball analysis, some laughs and plenty of appreciation for whoever is healthy enough to play.

Drop your predictions in the chat: Who leads the Warriors in scoring tonight? And can the undermanned Dubs actually pull off a surprise?

Win or lose, we're here for the journey. Give these guys some grace and let's enjoy some Warriors basketball together! 🫶💙💛

Stephen Curry, Podz and Draymond Green LOST THE GAME. And that’s okay. 🫶💙💛

The blew a 12-point lead in less than four minutes against Memphis, and the immediate reactions were predictable: Steph and Draymond are too old, the Warriors shoot too many threes, and Steve Kerr needs to abandon the Steph–Draymond two-man game.

But is any of that actually supported by what happened on the court? 🤔

I went back through the final possessions, one by one, during our Let’s Go Warriors livestream. And my conclusion probably isn’t what a lot of wants to hear.

Steph, Brandin Podziemski and Draymond each committed an egregious mistake, while Memphis’ Jaylen Wells, Zach Edey and Cameron Boozer simply OUTPLAYED our three most trusted closers down the stretch.

That doesn’t erase the fact that Podz played a very good game overall. Nor does it mean the Steph–Draymond two-man game is suddenly obsolete.

And those missed threes? They weren’t all bad shots. The Golden State Warriors also DID try to attack the basket, contrary to what some fans were claiming.

Sometimes the explanation isn’t a coaching failure, a broken offensive system or another trade proposal. Sometimes your best players just need to execute better.

That’s the difference between reacting emotionally to a loss and taking the time to actually dissect the basketball.

I’ve written up the full analysis on LetsGoWarriors-dot-com, including what the replay revealed about the final possessions.

PLUS, paid subscribers get the detailed postgame Q&A transcripts from Steph Curry, Yaxel Lendeborg and Steve Kerr!

Give the article a read and let me know what you think. Giving our players grace doesn’t mean we can’t hold them accountable.

UP 12… AND LOST?! 😳🏀

I’ve turned our original –Grizzlies Watch Party into a detailed postgame recap, including a painstaking, possession-by-possession dissection of the final 3:38!

My conclusion? Stephen Curry, Brandin Podziemski and Draymond Green — our three most trusted closers — each made an egregious mistake, while Memphis’ Jaylen Wells, Zach Edey and Cameron Boozer simply outplayed them down the stretch.

But here’s where I push back on the emotional postgame reactions: The Steph–Draymond two-man game is NOT suddenly obsolete, and missing four late threes doesn’t mean the Warriors needed to abandon the three-point shot!

I went back through the actual plays, including the open looks, the attempts to score inside and Memphis’ extraordinary defensive length. And let’s not forget that Podz actually played a very good game overall!

Sometimes the answer isn’t changing the entire offense. Sometimes your best players just need to execute better.

🎥 Catch the full breakdown in our original live event, tagged below. The detailed fourth-quarter analysis starts around the 3:04:48 mark!

“Pretty much everything went wrong.”

Stephen Curry walks through the Golden State Warriors’ finish against the Memphis Grizzlies, including his foul on a three-point shooter and the breakdown that left Ty Jerome open. But when asked about the offensive plan, he points to the opportunities they created through pick-and-roll: “We just missed shots.”

The frustration doesn’t erase his confidence in Yaxel Lendeborg. After the rookie played 38 minutes, Steph says he’s learning “through the fire” and appreciates that Yaxel told him he needed to be better offensively after the Lakers game. Mistakes will happen; keep competing and stay aggressive.

Full postgame Q&A below, including Steph’s encouragement for Brandin Podziemski to shoot without hesitation, Ty Jerome’s growth and why the Warriors’ competitive spirit felt “night and day” compared with the opener.

What did you make of Steph’s explanation of the finish? 🫶💙💛

10/24/2026

“He’s not Michael Jordan.” 👀

Yaxel Lendeborg on the reaction to his Luka Doncic trash talk — and while he acknowledges taking it a little overboard in the media, he’s not going to stop being himself. He just moved his mom to California and says he’s living a dream.

There’s plenty of basketball accountability here, too: Yaxel discusses his six turnovers, getting too eager to make a play, missing loose balls and learning how to create better opportunities for his teammates. Plus, how Podz is helping him handle criticism and keep his head up.

Then Steve Kerr addresses the Grizzlies’ closing 17-0 run, credits Zach Edey’s defense and takes issue with the flopping on screen calls. His verdict on Draymond Green’s late screen: “I thought it was legal.”

Kerr also praises the bench’s effort while acknowledging, “We didn’t deserve to win the game,” because the Warriors didn’t make the plays they needed at the end.

Full Yaxel + Kerr postgame interviews below. What stood out most to you — Yaxel’s self-assessment or Kerr’s explanation of the finish?

HOW DID THE WARRIORS BLOW A 12-POINT LEAD IN LESS THAN FOUR MINUTES?! 😳🏀

The Golden State Warriors led Memphis 106-94 late in the fourth quarter, only to lose 111-108 in a stunning collapse at Chase Center.

We’ve turned our Let’s Go Warriors Watch Party into a full postgame recap, including a painstaking, possession-by-possession dissection of the final 3:38.

And the conclusion might surprise some Warriors fans: Stephen Curry, Brandin Podziemski and Draymond Green — our three most trusted closers — each made an egregious mistake, while Memphis’ Jaylen Wells, Zach Edey and Cameron Boozer simply outplayed them when it mattered most.

But here’s where I disagree with some of the emotional postgame reactions: The do NOT need to abandon the Steph–Draymond two-man game, nor does missing four late threes automatically mean they should have been shooting more twos!

We actually went back and examined those possessions, including the missed opportunities, the open looks, Memphis’ extraordinary defensive length and the plays Golden State DID run to attack the basket.

And let’s give Podz some grace. He played a very good game overall, despite that costly late turnover.

Sometimes the answer isn’t a new offensive system, a different lineup or another trade proposal. Sometimes your best players just have to execute better.

Watch our full game replay and detailed postgame breakdown, and let me know whether you agree with the analysis!

I’ve defended Steve Kerr’s preference for basketball IQ over sheer size for years. After all, that’s how Kevon Looney became a household name in DubNation.

But after watching Walker Kessler go 12-for-12 with TEN dunks against the Warriors, while Graham Ike sat on the bench until garbage time, I’m beginning to question whether Steve is holding on to his small-ball philosophy a little too tightly.

I understood the reluctance to start two rookies against Luka Dončić and Kessler. But here’s my counterargument: You can’t have zero rim protection when you already have zero point-of-attack defense.

Gary Payton II recently talked about the Golden State Warriors needing to establish new habits and get rid of the old ones.

Well, maybe it’s time for Steve to break one of his own.

I wrote about all of this in my latest FREE Substack article at LetsGoWarriors-dotcom, including why I think small-ball should be a playoff chess move rather than an 82-game philosophy.

What do you think? Should Graham Ike be starting at the 5, or do you still trust Kerr’s smaller lineups? 🫶💙💛

“GONE, MAN. GONE.” 😳🏀

Yaxel Lendeborg didn't hold back after his NBA debut against Luka Doncic and the Los Angeles Lakers, saying he had “lost all respect” for Luka after experiencing the foul-baiting, complaining and trash talk firsthand.

And Steve Kerr's reaction? He LOVED Yaxel's competitiveness!

Kerr explained why guarding Luka is such a difficult introduction to the NBA, defended his rookie's willingness to stand his ground, and argued that Luka should have received a technical foul, too, after hitting that half-court shot and getting in Yaxel's face.

But there's plenty of actual basketball here as well. Yaxel discusses his defensive confidence, learning to avoid foul trouble and needing to help Stephen Curry more offensively.

Kerr also breaks down the Warriors' third-quarter collapse, the defensive breakdowns that led to so many easy Lakers dunks, and why he was encouraged by Graham Ike's fourth-quarter performance.

🎥 Both complete postgame Q&As, right here on Let's Go Warriors!

What do YOU think? Was Yaxel right to stand his ground against Luka, and should BOTH players have received technical fouls?

Let's discuss! 🫶💙💛

“The next time he see him, go at his ass again.” 🗣️😂

Draymond Green had absolutely no problem with rookie Yaxel Lendeborg talking trash to Luka Dončić, even after Luka got the better of him in the Warriors’ opening-night loss to the Lakers.

Draymond even recalled Kevin Durant dropping 54 points on him: “And guess what? I kept talking. And I can guard him now, so.”

And Stephen Curry? “I love that care and passion.”

🏀 NEW on Let's Go Warriors’ Substack: We’ve collected our TOP 10 postgame quotes from Yaxel, Steve Kerr, Draymond and Steph, along with both complete Q&A videos, which everyone can watch for FREE!

📖 We’re also bringing back something for our paid Substack subscribers: the complete, carefully edited transcripts of all four interviews, including every reporter question and full response.

Sometimes the most revealing part of an interview isn’t the quote that makes the headline. It’s what comes before and after it.

Head over to LetsGoWarriors-dot-com and check out our latest article!

And I’m curious: Do you agree with Draymond that Yaxel should keep challenging Luka, or would you rather see the rookie let his game do the talking?
