Oklahoma Pirates 11U Earn Walk-Off Win Over MVP Elite 11U
It came down to the wire on Friday at Bentley Park Sports Complex, as Oklahoma Pirates 11U grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 7-6, over MVP Elite 11U. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the fifth when Liam M singled, scoring one run.
Oklahoma Pirates 11U built a 4-run lead in the fourth inning and then held off MVP Elite 11U's charge. MVP Elite 11U closed the gap by scoring on a ground out, a single, and a double.
MVP Elite 11U opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two ground outs. MVP Elite 11U first got on the board when Braylon H grounded out, scoring one run.
Oklahoma Pirates 11U jumped into the lead in the bottom of the first when Maverick P singled, scoring two runs, and Liam M doubled, scoring one run.
Oklahoma Pirates 11U added one run in the third. Maverick P doubled down the right field line, making the score 4-2.
MVP Elite 11U tied the game in the top of the fifth thanks to a ground out by Gavin M, a single by Logan J, and a double by Christian M.
Grayson A began the game for Oklahoma Pirates 11U. The starter surrendered three hits and two runs over three innings, striking out two and walking two. Emmet G pitched one inning of shutout ball for Oklahoma Pirates 11U in relief. The reliever gave up one hit, striking out two and walking two.
