Another season has come and gone for the Thursday Night Patriots League. Thank you to the 32 teams who participated in the league this year along with numerous permanent and roving subs. Thank you to Westgate Lanes and staff for taking care of the lanes and providing top-notch service to the bowlers and guests.

Congratulations to all the teams who made it to the playoffs, but we want to send a special shout-out to the WINNERS of this year's season, Damage Control!!! They bowled extremely well all night, ultimately defeating Corn Dog Jackie in the final round. Two Ball Strike came in third and Run Em Down rounded out the top four spot. Great bowling everyone!!

We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable summer while continuing to bowl, creating lasting memories and relaxing with family and friends. The league meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 28th at 7pm. Keep an eye on this page for updates and information about the league.

The league officers would like to wish you a Happy Hanukah, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! During the holiday season, we hope you enjoy your time with family and loved ones. We have a team looking for a permanent bowler to join their team. If you're a roving sub who'd like to join a team permanently, or if anyone knows of a bowler looking to join, please let one of the officers know.

We hear your continued concerns regarding the schedule. When we decided to add these additional divisional matches, we mentioned it could result in repeated matches against the same opponent.

The league meeting had a lot of information, and some topics were highly debated, however, the one thing that seemingly everyone agreed on were these additional divisional matches, AND to keep the existing position rounds. The other weeks are scheduled per USBCs formula built into the software. This means you bowl inside your division a staggering 14 times within the season. Mix in USBCs schedule and you could be bowling within your division 15+ times.

Unfortunately to some, this has resulted in some teams facing not only facing more inter divisional matches than others, but some teams are having repetitive matches against the same opponent. This may seem like an unfortunate circumstance but is functioning exactly how the rules have determined.

The officers have discussed the schedule ramifications, and since the schedule changes were practically unanimously voted in we will not be making schedule adjustments during the season. If you find you're bowling on the same pair multiple weeks in a row, we can switch pairings, but not opponents.

If this has caused unintentional consequences, we are happy to make adjustments for next season.
