A new era is beginning. For too long, the story of Brockton has been told by outsiders—or worse, buried under spin and silence. That ends now.

We Are Brockton is being built by Brockton grads and people who love this city enough to fight for it. Over the next 6 months, we’ll be putting boots on the ground in every ward, bringing back real reporting—the kind that asks hard questions, digs for the truth, and refuses to look the other way.

This won’t be sugar-coated. We’ll shine a light on the best of Brockton—the schools, businesses, families, and champions that make this city proud. And we’ll drag into the open the worst—the corruption, the failures, the abuse—that need to be fixed or removed.

We Are Brockton will be more than media. It will be a movement.

A revival of accountability.

A voice for workers, students, seniors, and every family who calls this city home.

A battle cry to restore the reputation and championship roots we’ve all missed.

Former Brockton High School standout and Mount Ida College head coach Mike Landers is the 2023 recipient of the Grinold Chapter’s Ed Schluntz Contribution to Amateur Football Award. Named in honor of Ed Schluntz, a charter member of the Grinold Chapter, this award is presented annually to a person in the Chapter footprint whose efforts and activities in support of the Foundation and its goals have been local in nature.
