‼️2026 season Recap‼️

I apologize but this is going to be a long one

Trying to figure out where to begin on the 2026 season. The last two seasons have really tested my patience. I have had many times that I have questioned myself if this was something I really want to do. I have had so much go wrong these first 2 seasons. Our goal for this season was to get a full season in but that did not happen.

To start the season I was struggling with the handling on the car. So we went to see our good friends over at DKM Fabrication. They got us taken care of and then we had a really good car.
Couple weeks later I blew a motor running 3rd in the feature. This was very frustrating as we did not have a back up motor. I got lucky with having some sponsors that were generous enough with helping to find another motor.

Then we move to about 2 weeks later. We found a very good deal on another motor and got it put into the car. Once i got back on track everything started looking up. I started to have more speed and more control over the car. I ended up with 2 heat race wins back to back. Which boosted my confidence and I started to feel like I had a shot to win a feature.

Which now brings us to when the entire season went down the drain. I was running 3rd with 3 laps to go and I was going for 2nd place and I seen an opening on the bottom but the door was shut as soon as I got to the bottom and me being impatient and frustrated I never lifted and the car got junked and it cost me half of my season. This was something that hurt a lot. I have a lot of great sponsors and I have amazing people behind me that believe in me and I just watched everything I’ve worked so hard for get ripped away in the matter of .02 of a second.

This then brings us to a few weeks of figuring out what we were going to do for the season. I was ready to just call it quits until 2027. Not because I didn’t want to be back out but mainly because I am not a big team I don’t have access to unlimited amounts of funding. It took a lot to get me back on track and again that was only possible because of the amazing people I have behind me that just keep pushing me to keep going and all my amazing sponsors that stepped up to help out even if it was only a little bit. A couple of weeks after the accident we had found another DKM chassis for a really good deal. The car I have now. All and all this took roughly 2 and a half months from the accident to being back on track.

Once I finally get back on track after rebuilding an entirely new car I went out for hot laps the first night back and did not even make it 2 laps and the left rear hub stripped completely off the axle tube. This ended our night before it even started.

Now we get to Fonda 200 weekend on Thursday night. It had rained all day and the track was very very wet. It look a long time to get it to where it was safe enough to race on. But the track crew stayed on top of it and made the best out of what they were dealing with. The track ended up being very fast. When I went out for the heat race I started in the back from a bad pill draw. The track was a little wet but was not too bad. But my car did not hook up at all. Felt like I was driving on ice so I chose to just ride it out and stay out of trouble. But doing this put us starting 19th in the feature out of 21 cars. During the feature I took my time and was being very patient and just making passes when I could and not trying to force any issues. I passed 12 cars and ended up with a 7th place finish which in my book that was a Win for us this season.

I cannot thank the few people I have that help out all season enough for what you do. The help from you guys means more to me than I could ever express. You know who you are.

Now as I get to sponsors for this season. You guys are the best and I appreciate everything you all have done for me this season and for last season. None of this would be possible without everyone involved.

Our first night of the Fonda 200 did not start off great as we started in the rear of the heat race and the track was still pretty wet so we just hung back to keep our car in 1 piece.

That put us starting really deep in the feature. We started 19th and picked our way through the field finishing 7th. We ended up having a very good night with probably our best run yet. To gain 12 positions on the track we had was awesome. 

We will let everyone know if we plan to run the rest of the weekend. We were having transmission issues just before the feature.

We are here at Fonda Speedway and patiently waiting to find out if we are going to get tonight’s portion of Fonda 200 weekend in or if we are running a double program tomorrow. We will keep everyone updated as we find out more.
