Went to Blue Lake yesterday. What a weird day! 🙄 But it was one of the best days I’ve had on the water all season! So hopefully I have a lot more weird days!

Lesson learned: Make sure you have your glasses! When I got off the water I was 6th - which I was good with. When I got home I was 5th. I was even more excited! 😆. Then I woke up and found that I had a fish denied and one modified…. It is true - You cannot have your hand under the gill plate. Whoopsie - Had I had my glasses on I would have seen that! lol. I should have checked when I got home. Fish and learn.

I’m super proud of my 78”! My girl was very happy to see me when I got home! ❤️🐶

4th again! But I am a happy camper - and consistent! Monday was a beautiful day to be on the water! Waldron has been stingy this year so far! Found a good one under a pontoon and thought it was on! But that was the only one I found after I wasted a good amount of time searching others…. That’s ok, I entertained the DNR guys! Seriously, they stopped and watched, laughed and then went on about their business. I can’t help it that I talk a lot to myself and the fish when I’m out there… and to my kayak when it goes rogue (costantly)!

On to Palestine tomorrow. For the love of everything fishing - I hope for fish on the board this time!

I’m a little behind… two weeks ago I fished a couple of tournaments. Lake Manitou and Lake Gage. Consistency was the word of the weekend! I ended up 4th in both tournaments - wohoo! (Nevermind that there were only 4 fishermen in the Gage tournament 🤣). And… there were a ton of 13.5-13.75 fishermen caught on both days! Holy Moly!

On Manitou I did manage to up grade three of them but couldn’t get enough to beat the twins - Bob and Chip. I will get them next time!

I figured something out in the last hour on Gage but just couldn’t make work. It’s a beautiful lake. It reminds me of a little Lake Maxi. Long drive to get there, but I think I’m going to have to go back! 🙄

I showed up to Kokomo Resevoir wanting two things… to catch a fish and stay away from as many snakes as possible!

History at that place has shown me that the odds haven’t exactly been in my favor. Still, I show up! I’m a bit competitive. My close friends will tell you that I’m too competitive sometimes. 🙄

I managed to pull off 5 fish and 3rd place out of 20! I am pretty darn proud of that.

I didn’t even know how much I had that morning until my 4th fish and a friend texted me and said “What the hell is that?”. 🤣

Only one snake showed himself… I was very happy about that! It was beautiful day on the water! Especially considering the weather we all have been having. Thanks for all of the support that day and since! I have amazing friends!

Results from my Thursday showing. One more down for the season! And… another limit! Yay for me! A couple babies mixed in there again but, I will take them every single day! Grateful isn’t a strong enough word to use when talking about time on the water!

Looking for some bigger ones next time hopefully…. But I will take whatever I am able to get!

It’s not outstanding … as far as standings go. But for me… I’m claiming it as outstanding! Anytime I can put up 5 fish it’s a win win for me!
