🏃‍♂️REEDSVILLE PANTHER INVITE MEET SUMMARY🏃‍♀️

The Panther Invite memories began on Wednesday, September 30, with a team meal at the Buell’s. The team enjoyed noodles with their choice of chicken, meatballs, or marinara, along with breadsticks and ice cream sandwiches for dessert. To the Buell’s: THANK YOU for fueling our athletes and for welcoming them into your home. Your generosity and hospitality meant the world to the team.

The following evening, Thursday, October 1, both our middle school and high school athletes toed the line at our home meet, the Reedsville Panther Invite. Morning rain, day long heat, afternoon cloud cover, and a slight west wind created relatively favorable running conditions, particularly considering the weather that occurred just days before.

Our home course is one of the faster courses we run throughout the season. Featuring long straightaways, wooded areas, and a variety of terrain, including grass, gravel, and rubber mats, our course may sound challenging to the untrained ear, but it actually provides a great opportunity to run a personal best. After a strong week of training, our athletes put together some very impressive performances.

ALL-TIME PR’S:
Congratulations to Kenson Zipperer, Ray Streetman, Ian Schwahn, Cooper Grimm, and Daniel Scharenbroch, for running all-time personal records! Their performances were a great highlight of the meet and a testament to the hard work they’ve put in throughout the season thus far!

UP NEXT:
October 9 - Lux-Casco Russ Fameree XC Classic

Great job to our entire team! We’re excited to build on another very strong week of training and look forward to finishing the regular season strong as the postseason quickly approaches.

🏆EXCEPTIONAL TEAMMATE OF THE WEEK - MISHICOT WEEK🏆

Congratulations to Gavin Buell, our Exceptional Teammate of the Week - Mishicot Week!

Gavin demonstrated what it means to take accountability for his own determination by approaching this past week with heart and intentionality. He showed composure during Monday’s hill workout and brought focus to each of his easy runs. That consistency throughout the week helped set him up for a 37-second personal best at Mishicot.

Gavin took ownership of his preparation and trusted the process throughout the week. His ability to stay composed during a challenging workout, remain intentional on the days that required patience, and then put it all together on race day is exactly what it means to be an Exceptional Teammate: showing up with purpose, embracing each opportunity to grow, and consistently giving your best effort to the team.

Congratulations and THANK YOU, Gavin! 🧡🖤

🏃‍♂️ JIM BREMSER MEMORIAL XC MEET SUMMARY 🏃‍♀️

The Bremser week memories began on Wednesday, September 23, with a team meal at the Streetman’s house. The team enjoyed fettuccine Alfredo, lasagna, breadsticks, and quality time with the Streetman’s pet bird. To the Streetmans: THANK YOU for fueling our athletes, providing quality team bonding, and welcoming them into your home. Your generosity and hospitality meant the world to the team.

The following evening, Thursday, September 24, both our middle school and high school athletes toed the line at the Jim Bremser Memorial XC Meet, hosted by Mishicot. Blue skies, comfortable humidity, and the slightest east wind created some of the best racing conditions we’ve had yet this year.

The Jim Bremser Memorial XC course is one of the faster courses we run throughout the season. Comprised of a quick yet messy start, multiple types of terrain, including grass, gravel, bark, and pavement, as well as plenty of shade, the flat course provides ample opportunity for a PR. After a strong week of training, both our high school and middle school crews put together some strong performances.

AWARDS:
Congratulations to Kenson Zipperer for earning the team’s first award of the year! His strong performance, placing him in the top 40 among small-school athletes, was good enough to earn him a ribbon.

ALL-TIME PRs:
Congratulations to our ENTIRE middle school team: Gavin Buell, Daniel Scharenbroch, Olivia Zorn, and Cecilia O’Hearn, for running all-time personal records! As a crew, they averaged a 1-minute, 12-second improvement over their previous personal bests. Truly incredible!

Congratulations to Ian Schwahn, our Exceptional Teammate of the Week - Sheboygan Lutheran Week!

Ian demonstrated what it means to take accountability for his own determination by approaching this past week with strength. He was brave at our Tuesday meet and approached our first true fartlek workout with purpose and determination.

Ian took ownership of his effort and challenged himself to step outside of his comfort zone. His willingness to embrace a new workout, compete with courage, and stay committed to the process is exactly what it means to be an Exceptional Teammate: holding yourself accountable, leading by example, and inspiring those around you.

🏃‍♂️CRUSADER CHALLENGE MEET SUMMARY🏃‍♀️

The Crusader week memories began on Monday, September 14th, with a team meal at Coach Tyler’s house. The team enjoyed mac and cheese, chocolate milk, lemonade, and cookies. To Coach Tyler: THANK YOU for fueling our athletes and welcoming them into your home. Your generosity and hospitality meant the world to the team.

The following evening, Tuesday, September 15th, our high school athletes toed the line at the Crusader Challenge, hosted by Sheboygan Lutheran. Overcast skies, afternoon humidity, water, and a southwest wind created a challenging environment for the team.

The Crusader course is the hardest course our team will compete at this year. Comprised of long straightaways, angled terrain, and a daunting hill, athletes are required to maintain composure, stay mentally tough, and trust the training they’ve put in. Despite the incredibly challenging course and conditions, our team put together some pretty impressive performances.

ALL-TIME PR’S:
Congratulations to Cooper Grimm for running an all-time personal record! His strong performance was a highlight of the meet and a testament to the hard work he has put in thus far.

🏃‍♂️NIGHTFALL CLASSIC 920 MEET SUMMARY🏃‍♀️

WHAT AN EXPERIENCE THIS WAS!

The Nightfall memories began on Thursday, September 10th, with a team meal at the Schwahn’s. The kids enjoyed mac and cheese, Alfredo, an assortment of fresh fruit, and plenty of desserts. To the Schwahn family: THANK YOU for fueling our athletes and welcoming them into your home. Your generosity and hospitality meant the world to our team.

The following evening, Friday, September 11th, our high school athletes toed the line at the Nightfall Classic 920, held at Winagamie Golf Course in Neenah. An evening calm, a light south wind, a beautifully manicured golf course, and miles of Christmas lights created an unforgettable atmosphere and near-perfect racing conditions. With everything in place, our athletes had the opportunity to compete confidently, discover untapped potential, and push beyond limits they had not yet reached.

The Winagamie Golf Course is an incredibly flat course, featuring long straightaways, continuous turns, and an unforgettable finish line. With such an ideal setup, our athletes delivered individual performances they will remember for years to come.

ALL-TIME PR’S:
Congratulations to our ENTIRE varsity team: Kenson Zipperer, Ray Streetman, Ian Schwahn, Cooper Grimm, and Bryce VerHaagh, for running all-time personal records! As a team, they averaged a 48-second improvement over their previous personal bests. Truly incredible.
