Utah Ski Mountaineering works to increase participation in and promote ski mountaineering in Utah. We work with existing groups--Wasatch Powder Keg, Crowbar, and Wasatch Citizen Series--as well as new groups interested in starting ski mountaineering events to help organize and advertise ski mountaineering races throughout Utah. We offer common race supplies, like course flagging and signage, as we

ll as race liability insurance for events. Utah Ski Mountaineering provides education to new and experienced racers. Our clinics for new, beginner, and intermediate ski mountaineering racers--including juniors (aged 14-22) and women--include education on:
Transitions: Ski to climb, climb to ski, climb to boot
Climbing technique
Mountaineering skills (use of harnesses, ascenders, and via ferrata devices)
Training

Join us. Your UtahSkiMo membership supports the Wasatch Citizen Series Ski Mountaineering Races, and provides additional benefits during the race season.

With the wrap up of the season, the people who make the Tuesday Night Citizen Series possible got together to brainstorm for the next season and welcome on new recruits! We thought it might be fun to put a name to the faces you’ll see out there!
