UMORA Sageriders Chimney Rock Enduro. P1, P12 overall. Fun family trip down to the San Rafeal Swell area with Rachael, Camron, and Luke. This area is funner to ride than race in my opinion, but with the possibility of being the last race in the area, had to go.
Day quickly took a turn on test 1 when I got huck a buck through a rock section, resulting in ricocheting off one tree and into another. What is with me and getting harpooned by trees this year? Ugh. With a nasty armpit wound and pain radiating down my arm I pushed on. My bro, Camron, passed me in test 2 and was riding really good and outperformed me all day. Brake problems prevented him from the overall result he was positioned for.
I took the transfers nice and slow and really focused on saving all I had for tests. Rode good considering how I felt, the terrain was very challenging to get any rhythm and was very technical overall. The transfers were long and awesome, riding through beautiful canyons with geological features all around, I hope it wasn't our last ride in this area.
