It was very difficult to say goodbye to one of our Harrisonburg Hornets this evening. Andrew Riley Reich, you may be gone from our sight but you will never be gone from our hearts. Your family and friends will cherish the good times and memories, they shared with you. The bond between friends cannot be broken by chance; no interval of time or space can destroy it. Not even death itself can part true friends.

It Is With Great Sadness We Have To Tell You Of The Passing Of A Fellow Harrisonburg Hornets Basketball Player, Riley Reich. Riley Played Basketball With HHBA For Many Years And Loved Playing The Game With His Teammates And Friends. He Was Also A Junior At HHS And The Son Of Steve And Lori Reich. We Ask That You Please Keep Riley’s Family And Friends In Your Prayers.

The Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 6:30 p.m. at Muhlenberg Lutheran Church, 281 E Market St, Harrisonburg, VA 22801.

Let’s just say back in October, these 3rd/4th boys Hornets didn’t quite look like a lean, mean basketball fighting machine. But with a lot of hard work & an awesome village of parents & coaches supporting them, these boys battled to a 3-1 record at East Rock today, a 2nd place finish & are becoming a little band of brothers💪🏼🏀!

Girls 3rd-7th Grade Sunday, October 14 and Sunday October 21 at Skyline Middle School 1-2:30pm

Boys 3rd-7th Grade- Sunday October 14 and Sunday October 21 at Skyline Middle School 3-5pm

****Boys and Girls in 8th, 9th, 10th, or 11th grade interested in playing for the Harrisonburg Hornets are invited to register now for the Spring Season. There will be more information and specific details coming soon.
**Please note these teams will not begin practice until February.
