As we wrap up another incredible season, we want to take a moment to reflect on what an unforgettable year it has been for Illinois Magic FC. These accomplishments are the result of countless hours of hard work, commitment, and a passion for improving every single day.

Day 2 at USYS Nationals

Yesterday’s match didn’t go our way, falling 0-1 in the closing minutes after battling until the final whistle. It was a tough result, but this group never let it define them.

Today’s response said everything.

A 5-1 win built on high-level possession, patient combination play, and a team-first mentality. The ball moved with purpose, chances were created through quality soccer, and every player contributed to an outstanding performance.

One game at a time. One opportunity at a time.

Proud of the resilience this group continues to show. We keep learning, we keep growing, and we keep competing.

15 goals scored. Zero goals conceded.

An unforgettable week that was built on grit, sacrifice, and an incredible team-first mentality.

After losing a player in the third game, these boys finished the tournament without a single available substitute.
Every player emptied the tank, playing for the badge and for each other. There were no excuses—just resilience.

A huge credit goes to our back line, who were outstanding all week, protecting the goal with incredible discipline and determination alongside Adrian. Together, they accomplished something truly special: five games, five shutouts, and not a single goal allowed.

Brandon delivered when it mattered most, finding the back of the net in every single game, including the championship-winning goal. What a tournament.

Our captain, Sammy, was the heartbeat of this team. His leadership, selflessness, and willingness to step into multiple positions whenever the team needed him set the standard for everyone around him.

To every player and family—thank you for believing, sacrificing, and representing this club with pride.

This wasn’t just a championship run. It was a lesson in resilience, brotherhood, and what can happen when a team commits to something bigger than themselves. A performance that will be remembered for a long time.

This group continues to show what they’re made of. Every player has embraced their role, competed for one another, and found ways to rise in every moment.

Today’s victory came with adversity. Jackson suffered a broken collarbone during the match, leaving us without any available field-player substitutes for the remainder of the tournament. Please keep Jackson in your thoughts and prayers as he begins his recovery. Great kid that has been putting in the work🙏🏼

This team has responded to every challenge that’s been put in front of them. Now it’s time to dig even deeper. Semifinals are next, and we’ll face them together.

A Great Night at our Illinois Magic FC Finishing Clinic!

Thank you to everyone who came out and made our Finishing Clinic a success!

Throughout the evening, players focused on the details that create goal-scoring opportunities—developing power in their finishes, improving movement off the ball, timing runs in behind the defense, and building confidence in front of goal through game-like situations.

It was great to see the players challenge themselves, compete, and embrace every opportunity to learn. Their energy, effort, and positive attitudes made for an outstanding evening of training.

A big thank you to all of the players and families who joined us. We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you at future Illinois Magic FC training opportunities!

SUPERCOPA CHAMPIONS. 🏆

What a way to finish an unforgettable weekend.

Coming into the tournament as the #1 ranked team in the nation brings expectations and pressure. This group embraced both. Rather than letting the moment become too big, they rose to it—competing with confidence, composure, and a relentless belief in one another throughout the weekend.

The SuperCopa Final had everything. A back-and-forth battle that ended 4-4 in regulation, sending the match into overtime. With fatigue setting in and the temperatures continuing to test both teams, the boys found another gear.

With temperatures soaring and energy levels being tested, the boys dug deep and showed incredible resilience in the SuperCopa Semifinal.

After a hard-fought match ended level, it all came down to penalties.
