Celebrating turning 38 by announcing my 3rd marathon will be the 8th Abbott World Major Marathon (see what I did there? 😉), the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon!!!🏃🏽‍♀️⭐️

I’m so incredibly excited and honored to be running this marathon on behalf of ! This amazing charity helps seriously ill children in the UK be able to get their care at home. By donating to my fundraiser, you’ll be helping these children and their families improve their quality of life while they deal with complex medical needs.

I have two fundraising goals this time.
1. $2650 raised for WellChild
2. $1350 raised for travel
That’s a total of $4000!! It seems like a lot, but I KNOW we can do this!! 💪🏽

I’ll be doing lots of different fundraisers over the next several months. So keep an eye out! You can always donate straight to my JustGiving Fundraiser page by using the link in my bio.

Thank you all so much for all your encouragement, love, and support!!

Run the Berlin Marathon with me as a slow, chronically ill runner!

I have Elhers-Danlos Syndrome, Arthritis, and scoliosis in my upper & lower back. But I don’t let that keep me from chasing the stars. You don’t have to be fast to run marathons. In fact, I think going slower gives me the chance to really take in the experience, the crowds, the sights, and appreciate the other people I’m running with! I had some great conversations on this route with random people. One man named Constantine lives in Berlin and was naming all the buildings we went past. It was like a personal tour of the city!

I’m so incredibly grateful to my body for showing up even when I push it. I still have the ability to do hard things. I will not take any of that for granted.

Here’s so the start of my Star journey!🏅

I still cannot believe I did this! 🤯 I had all the emotions before, during, and after this race. Actually, I’m still trying to figure myself out. 🙃 I honestly NEVER thought I would be able to run a marathon…or more than one. And definitely not a World Major!! Living with chronic illnesses is so rough. It’s hard to even get out of bed some days! I’m so grateful to my body for continuing showing up. I’m going to take some time off to recover. Then it’s back to chasing the stars! ✨

Thank you to for giving me the opportunity to run for them.
Thank you for asking me all those month ago to be crazy and run Berlin with her. 😂
And a HUGE thank you to all of you for supporting me, donating to my fundraisers, and encouraging me through all of my training. I couldn’t have done this without you!! 🖤🖤

Omg! We’re less than a week out from the Berlin Marathon!!! 😳😬

Today was my last long run at/around race pace. 6 miles ✅

Only two more days until I fly out! 🛫 I can’t wait to meet up with my team and run through the streets of Berlin! 🇩🇪

I just realized I never posted my peak week run. 19 miles. I was doing a 90/10 split, but I had my paces way too face in the beginning. I know now that I’m going to have to back off and aim for a 5:15:00 finish in Berlin instead of a sub-5. That’s okay. I just want to finish and have a good time!

T-minus 15 days and a wake up!!!!
