Dear Parent, Athlete, Family Member, or friend,
I am writing to you on behalf of our youth basketball program, 'Velocity,' a youth program for all ages. This program fosters teamwork, discipline, and a love for the game in the Brandon and Sioux Falls surrounding areas.
As we prepare for our upcoming season in 2026, we are reaching out to local business owners and strong pillars in the community, such as yourself, to represent this selfless cause. People like you are who we need to help provide these children with a high-quality learning experience.
Youth sports are a powerful way to build continuity and community, but they come with significant costs. Many kids can afford to play at this level and have the skill to do so, but there are kids who have skill but may not have the funds. As much as I would love to cover every kid, I myself am a single dad of three amazing sons. Over the years, I've seen plenty of athletes who are gifted but can't afford it. Costs occur with travel, equipment, and other expenses. Some things can be covered, but kind people like yourselves can help these children chase a goal or a dream they may have. Playing does come with a cost, and we are hoping that with sponsorships, we can help alleviate the pressure on parents having to tell the athlete no because of the inability to afford something that can be so costly. Registration fees, gym rentals for practices and workouts, uniforms, and local or traveling tournaments, as well as travel expenses, are significant. Our goal is to ensure every child can participate, regardless of the family's financial situation, and the reality is that you are the one who makes that possible. Please help me keep these kids in basketball. The sport is such a stress relief, therapeutic, and poetry in motion - something that can take away from the distractions at these impressionable ages.
We are seeking sponsorship in any amount. Anything helps pay for the costs listed above. Helping pay for some of a player's expenses is great; helping pay for a team is even greater. Paying for uniforms, travel expenses, or gym time is appreciated in any form. The kids are grateful for anything. I can see the appreciation in every kid who receives a scholarship to play or any type of funding for the AAU basketball experience.
By partnering with G.B.B.A VELOCITY, your business will gain exposure to families throughout our community. In return for your generosity and support, we are willing to offer exposure to your company through various avenues.
- $500: Your company will be mentioned on our website and social media sites shared throughout the season at various times vigorously amongst our various pages and social media accounts, and will receive a team photo.
- $1000: Your company will be featured on our warm-up shirts; the logo will show permanently on the warm-up shirt. Your company will also receive a team photo.
- $1500: Your company logo will be featured on our team jerseys, either on the home or away side. Your company will receive a team photo.
- $2000: Your company will be on the warm-up shirts, the jerseys on both sides, and your company will receive a team photo.
We know that your company and G.B.B.A share a common commitment to the youth in our community. The family togetherness shows in our community, and that is what brought me to Brandon. It's where my kids plan to live and contribute to the legacy too.
