What a Day!! Team Heat played in the Carolina Region 16U Regional Championship today. This amazing group of young athletes never lost a set the first 5 matches. They went undefeated in their pool play and won the semifinal match 2-0. Unfortunately we came up a little short in the final match and finished the day with a Silver Medal.
Coach Carmen and myself couldn’t be any prouder. 4 of the 8 girls on this team could actually play in the 15U division. As competitive as the Carolina Region is, placing 2nd in the Championship is a heck of an accomplishment. Great Job Ladies and Thank you to our amazing group of parents!!

We didn’t play our best Volleyball yesterday, unfortunately we keep drawing very competitive pools, once again, two teams in our pool played for gold.
The bright spot in our day was we played very well against that gold medal team, beating them pretty decisively in the first set and actually scored more points over the 3 sets then they did, just not when we needed them. We scored 61 points to their 58. Set 1) 25-18. Set 2) 23-25 Set 3) 13-15.
The Carolina Region has some amazing competition and our team is on the verge of greatness, we just have to get a little more consistent.
